Hello to all



Just had a quote for return taxi transfer from LCA to Karaoglanoglu for £90 sterling , only paid £80 in October has the rate gone up or any recommendations for a better deal.

I just paid 90 GBP return for a 7 seater with Pacific, so could be cheeper for a car!

The going rate seems to be anywhere between £80 and £100.....whatever they can get away with (same as anywhere in the world! )



Haggle...but I reckon £80 is as cheap as it gets?



Maybe fuel has gone up recently?

try http://www.a-one-rentacar.com. If you book a car with them for more than 3 days they pick up free from Ercan. If you book for more than 10 days they pick up free from Larnaca!! We used them last year from Larnaca. Because we were going to Esentepe they just charged us £10 each way for fuel. Cars were ok, not the best but not the worse, from £14 per day.

Message 12 - agree - you should be able to negotiate a price for transfer if you are hiring a car from the same company. We always use Bird - very reliable and friendly and they will deliver the car to the airport for you and just ask that you leave it there on your return home.Will dig out their e-mail address a.s.a.p.and post it on here. You also get a decent car for around £18.00 per day including insurance.

We can arrange transfers from and to Larnaca, the cost for 4 persons is £50 each way and up to 6 persons £60. Esentepe and Kayalar £5 extra.

think you,ll find most taxi services have put there prices up due to the cost of insurance cover in the south going up from 10euros to 25euros, some increase eh

If you're willing to hire a car, say a Ford Focus at Larnaca for a week, its £66 in late March/early April. I know that would be my preference even with the insurance charge at Metehan than paying £100 for taxis then the car hire on top.
