I'm surprised to constantly read 'supposition' posts about the 'Cyprus problem'. Bottom line is: We Don't know. We do not know what the outcome will be. From a practical point of view, if the number of people who have bought/invested in property North of the Border is investigated, I would say we are the majority. To try to destroy this or take ownership from these Investors in numbers would be detrimental to the Cypriot economy. And legally??? Good luck!

So why are people so pre-occuppied? Sure, it would be good to know how it will all turn out, but bottom line is: WE DON'T KNOW! And we won't until we are hit by notification via our solicitors (perhaps never?).

I just think folk should relax and enjoy what they have. And if you bought into a 'dodgy' property - you know that and you will have to deal with that.

Would be interested to hear comments.

Y

I agree 100%.

We have no say in what is happening or going to happen. Picked up yesterdays CT and felt like throwing it straight in the fire, just loads of he said, she said etc. As someone says on another thread, the only people who know what is said in meetings are those in attendance. What is fed out from those meetings is for political reasons and not factual info.

What has happened over the last 24 hours is just what the politicians wanted, a lot of **** stirring in both camps. Then the name calling starts again.

We love our life here on our half finished building site, one day it will be complete the same as the poltical issues will be resolved. Whatever they may be and we know the extreme scenarios of that. But we knew that before we bought.

O bother, torrential rain at the moment but soon summer will be here!!

Fantastic Post Yvonne

That's why the properties are "cheap".

I am right behind you with your train of thought.

Happy Days

please, do you actually think either the trnc goverment or the roc care?

they have had your money.

why do you think this goverment has given a new discount on property tax for three months?

to get as much as they can as fast as they can!

then sail off into the sunset elsewhere.

i think it may be somewhere outside of the e.u.

especially if the roc judgement goes against the orams regarding assets in the uk, and enforcing judgements from one e.u state to another.

rowlo, where would you go if you were them?
