Pegasus appear to have started a route from London Stansted to Istanbul Sabia-Gokcen with a good connection to Ercan from the same airport and very little wait time.

One way price in April/May £65 including taxes.

Fine if you live in the South East - but I live in the North West.

Just another note on Pegasus:

If you book online and book each of the two flights separately then on 1 May it is only £65. If you book the flight as a direct flight with a touchdown in Istanbul then the price is £100.

The costs vary depending on how far in advance you can book and, of course, the season.

Panhandler - the seat availability shortage is in regard to certain dates but the prices are high as the best seats have sold. On some flights there is a wait list and it might be worth ghoing onto that.

This applies to all the airlines servcing North Cyprus.

Hi Img171

We travelled with Pegasus 3 weeks ago to Ercan. We had exactly 50 kilos with the hand luggage so it was just right for two people 20+5 . I heard they were more strict with the weights and there are no meals on flight.

You can buy cold sandwiches and drinks if you want. 4 euro gfr a salami panini and 2 euro for coffee. Plane was a quite new 737-800

Thanks biker,

I thought hold allowance was 25kg

Hand luggage 5kg

It seems there was a time they didn't weigh hand luggage ?

Our first leg is with easy jet 20kg hold

don't weigh hand luggage as long as your bag is a certain size.

Hi

Flew last w/e with Pegasus. Baggage allowance is 25kg + 5kg hand luggage.

There was a technical fault with the plane at Istanbul but they bused us across the runway to another within 90 minutes.

You can get away with alot more coming back from TRNc.

There were no checks on hand luggage weight at Ercan.

They didn't weigh our hand luggage, but they did the people infront of us, so I guess the answer must be yes !!!

But at Ercan, there was no check on the weight.

jmg171,

Depends on what mood they're in!

If there's a long queue then no.

If they suspect that your bags are over and there's little or no queue, then yes; and they get a broad grin on their face when they catch you!
