Motorsport's governing body has ruled the Brawn GP car, which has taken Briton Jenson Button to two wins this season, is legal.

Great for TV ratings.. Clever Richard Branson

The thing that worries me Mark is that the title appears more and more as though it is being decided off of the track.

F1 unfortunately is getting away from its roots. I for one do not want to watch an exciting race only to find that the winner and any other podium placed drivers have subsequently had points deducted and then re-instated and then deducted again. I would call it a total farce.

Why is it that the "condition " of the car is only discovered AFTER a race . !!

Are the cars not checked by the authorities BEFORE they start ??

Ferrari again !!!

Hi Aj, re msg 2

Not a lot I disagree with in your post ! ... Mosely wanted the rule changes to save money and make for more overtaking... Three teams have interpreted the rules and found a loop hole... That was ever the way in F1

I suspect the powers have decided it is "good" to let the Minows win and that the big boys will moan and and catch up - making for MORE excitement..

With big manufacturers pulling out of F1 the threat to make their own series is less likely.

Arrry ! re msg 3

The Cars were inspected BEFORE each race and found legal by the Stewards.. it was the big boys who brought this as an appeal !

We can expect the big boys knew they wouldn't win and we will have to wait until the European GP for their redesigns..

So, we can expect Brawn / Toyota and Williams to continue to shock !!

Bloody Brilliant, now the others must play catch up.

In fact the other teams have been re-designing their rear difussers since the first race.

Before every race the scrutineers have to check the cars, helmets, overalls, etc.

Now if the F.I.A. had found fault with the cars, what is the point of scrutineering?

Pete

Well the start to the season does not bear well with points being decided off track. Lets hope they can get their act together and let the F1 be what it should be all about and that is on the track.

Dear AJ, re msg 7

The points were won on the road..

If you are talking about the decisions re Lewis Hamilton / Vettell, etc., I think they've been lenient.

My nieces husband has done quite a bit of design and prototype work for Brawn GP in the last few weeks and they are very, very canny about rule interpretations.

Good luck to them !!!

They deserve it...
