What channels do you get on the Digiturk 'basic' package?

Got this on order and being fitted in April so would appreciate what channels I would get as can't remember them.

the basic digiturk package costs 19.90 which is called ekonomik paket you will get

bbc prime - bbc world - mgm movies - hallmark - actionmax - cnbce - e2 - extreme sports - eurosport 1 & 2 - espn - national geo and wild - reality - history chan - crime & investigation - mtv - euronews - cnn - fox sprots with english premiship games in english and a load of kids channels

if you subscibe to the next package which is called aile paket you get all the above and 2 more movie channels - e - my max this costs 34.90 ytl

the next package is sinema paket again you get all the above with a further 2 movie channels which show older movies, comedy max which shows all comedy sitcoms - dizi max all sitcoms - foxlife this costs 43.90



normally you will pay 45ytl for a dish which you keep and 40ytl install fee the box is rented so you have to give back when you end your agreement

Thanks for the info. It's all ordered and dish was already there, paid a year up front cost 288 YTL including initial installation & set up fee.

sorry to say you got overcharged, digiturk do a deal if you pay a year up front they wont charge you a install fee and for the years subscription to ekonomik paket cost 219ytl

does not make any diffrence where you are in north cyprus digiturk will install but first i would advise you to find out if you are living on a complex if you are allowed to install a dish of your own or if they have a central shared dish if the later then all you will need is a box that you rent part of the package with digiturk or if you do need a dish of your own you will have to pay 45ytl for the dish and 40ytl for install or like i said if you pay a years up front you dont pay for the install and you get it for a reduced price of 219ytl instead of 238.80ytl plus 40ytl install fee

UK, Not that I doubt you, but is that defo right 219 YTL for year up front and free install? Looks like I paid the English price then!! I'm knockin' their door in April.

i am 1000% sure, the reason i know is because i sort out digiturk for english people through my contacts who is a digiturk approved dealer here in turkey

in actual fact it has gone down to 216ytl for a year up front with free install as long as you sign a contract for a year that you wont cancel it, which you have probabley done (you should have a yellow copy of the contract)

you saying you paid english prices is actually illegal because all aproved digiturk dealers charge all the same price and if they have over charged you, you can complain to head office

you can see for youself i have a added a link to digiturk's website

i have got a telephone number for the girne office which is 0392 815 0821-4 and for digiturk cyprus head office which is 0392 223 6000

yes they are live, on a saturday you will get 2-3 games, then on a sunday you will 2 games, then on a monday 1 evenıng game all in english and yes every week this is on , and a added bonus there is the fox channel which shows alternative games but this is in turkish, on top of that tv8 shows all fa cup and league cup games, then there is star which shows champions league,

also there is e2 and buısness channel which shows scotish games and ntv which show german and italian games

yes all these channels are on the basic package

fox sports on channel 70 - fox on channel 26 - tv8 on channel 29 - star on channel 27



you can get all these channels apart from fox sports on turksat which you dont have to pay a monthly subscription for,all you do is buy a dish and a receiver

but like i said you dont get fox sports and this is in english

actually coldsat is the name of the company that sells packages for a system on the nilesat satelite called showtime arabia,you indeed get more football on this aswell as corrie and emerdale and loads of other fav british shows but this sytem does cost a lot more than digiturk does, i have gone in to great detail on this on another thread link provided below

jacko if you look at message 11 there are some telephone numbers give them a call and arrange them to come to your place, you should not wait to long to get them out to install, could be the same day or a day or two depends how busy they are

I'm moving to a new flat next month and was told that instead of a satellite dish, I can get just a cable box from Digiturk. But, while reading these messages it sounds as though I need a satellite dish, too? This stuff seems so complicated sometimes! Thanks for your help.

you need a dish to recieve a signal just a box wont do, unless in your block of flats there is a central dish thatthe developer put on the roof then all you will need to do is find your aerial point connect a cable from the point in to the back of the digiturk box, the installer will do this for you, all you need to do is ask your developer is there cental dish system and where is the dish pointed to, if its digiturk then call them and they will come out and install a box in your home for you

Hi ukturk.... You seem to be pretty knowledgable about digiturk so wondering if you can help me please. How can İ keep my tv to always be in english where possible? Every time İ turn it on and if İ have been in a dual programme, such as CI it always starts back in turkish and İ have a job changing it to english, even though İ switch it to play in English, 99% of the time there s no sound!!! are you watching digiturk thru a official recevier either the black phillips box or the silver digiturk box dcr optv3900 if the answer is yes then what you do is press opts button on the remote choose the settings option if its in turkish it will write ayarlar once in this option then choose user settings in turkish kullanci ayarlari then choose languages turkish dil seçenekleri now if the menu is im turkish change menu dili to english then change audio languages to original then you wont have any more problems



now if you are watching digiturk thru a normal sat box with the digiturk card inserted in it you will have problems cos like you said everytime you switch the box off it resets back to its orignal settings

hope this helps and if you have got a normal sat box tell me the make and ill try and find a solution for you

Hi ukturk...

Last year we paid 372 YTL up front for a Digiturk package... 336 YTL the year before... Last year we had all the premiership football on Fox sports channel 70

this year we can't get any football on channel 70 ...

All the channels we get appear to be what you state above with the exception of espn which has mysteriously disappeared ...

We live in TRNC ... Does what you say only apply if you live in Turkey...
