I have been trying to cope without an oven at the moment, because the old one blew up. I have bought a new one which is due to be fitted on Saturday. You have to be really imaginative with just a hob and microwave! Can't wait to get my new oven (and separate grill) in, as I love cooking, and have had withdrawal symptoms.

What is pasta vongole, and if it's nice, can I have the recipe please?

Bill, Tonight's supper is King prawns, marinated this morning in garlic, onion and chilli, these will be served with mushroom stir fry, and fried rice, with toasted olive bread on the side. Will I be putting out an extra plate tonight too?

Dee- when we were over last June I cooked a roast dinner, what a mistake! It was a very warm evening, with the oven on it was even warmer, I sweated so much the gravy was the thinest gravy I have ever made watered down with persperation. Never again I'm sticking to bar-b-que outside.
