Site Electric Connection

Have just had email from builder asking for £3000 for connection of electric to our site in Tatlisu 46 villa's on site. This seems excessive or is it really the normal price you have to pay. This is to site not the villa thats extra

It really depends as each case is different. We had to pay £2700 to bring the electricity across a road (6ft wide) and have a pole to carry it. It means now that when our neighbours move in they won't have to pay anything as its already there (thanks to us). Just one of those things.

If anybody else used the new line within three years, Kib-tek used to charge them their share and reimburse it to those who paid for it in the first place. However, this decision of the Board of directors of Kib-tek was not published in the official gazette and thus it was found "irregular" by the High Court. Quite typical for TRNC.

Seems a bit harsh. We had electric (plus sub station) to our site provided by the builder. It was also written in to the contract (and mains water).

Thanks for info, looking at the contract that we signed under the heading

Time Scale Of Construction: part of it states together with supply of electricity and water to the property.

We were told when we bought the property that electric connection would be approx £ 500/ £700 for meter and connection, but they would tell us correct price near completion but thats some inflation rate.

Perry can I ask where is your site, is it in Tatlisu area.
