I am going to be in UK when my residency runs out, just over by 3 days, does anyone know what you do in a situation like this.

Personally I would start it at Girne police station, it takes about 3 weeks before it is proccesed in lefkosa so no problems. I did this 2005 when I went back and absolutely no problem coming back in through Ercan.

You can only start the process within 14 days of expiry date, I believe.

Ours runs out while we are away every year and we have never had a problem. Just get a 90 day visa when you return and start the process from then. You shouldn't have a problem.
