We are over mid April, can take piccis of yours if you want, last time we were over, we did take a peek at yours, very impressive!! Apparantly, according to Eileen at Re-max, somebody has bought 2 plots, in different names, and is having a huge house built on their plot!

No problem Ray, we are having a lot of problems reaching Eileen, she promised to sent piccis over of our villa, but so far have not received them, dont know if the problem is at her end, as she said it took her 3 weeks to get an e-mail out recently! She ended up phoning me!

But will endeavour to get photos to you when we return, may 14th

Are you having a pool put in, and when are you moving in?

It would be great to meet up when you are over, as it coincides with us.

It was lovely to meet you both as well, I dont know if you have heard but we are having major problems with our builder, he is saying that he cannot complete in the time he said, and that the contract is wrong , but he still wants his final payment in August, when I pointed out to him that the final payment was conditional of us selling-which isnt a problem, and that if he couldnt complete, we would have nowhere to live, and as he had signed the contract with an interpretor present, then it was legally binding.

He came to see us on the last day we were there and said all this(at 5pm-no time to talk to our solicitor), so we are having to fight it at this end.

I have no idea what is going to happen now!!

Hi chris & john,

dont know what timescale you agreed to but we were told that all builds were 16months with a 4 month grace thats what is in our contract, hope things get sorted ray&jenny.

Hi Ray,

We were told everything would be finished to move in with water and electric, in 12 months from signing the contract, he allowed ME a months grace to give me time to sell the house-now he is saying this isnt possible.

Chris

No doubt we will come to some arrangement!

See you soon

Hello Raybo - We are Suan and Jim - we have bought plot 10 - due for completion December 2008. We have seen your villa - looks great. How did you choose the tiles for your kitchen. What has Bekir (the builder) told you with regard to the second car port. He has told us that he cannot build this immediately because of lack of initial planning permission. Is your balustrade and stair bannister counted as standard fixtures.

When do you hope to move in?

Regards Jim and Susan

Hi Jim and Susan

I am in villa no 9, so we will be neighbours, Bekir said the second car port was not possible as he didnt get enough land to do it!

Bekir will take you to choose your tiles when you are over next, there is an amazing amount to choose from, not all come as standard though, we will try and talk you into buying the dearer ones!

The same with the marble or ceramic flooring, bathroom tiles, kitchen units.............

Great fun, but exhausting as he wanted it all doing in one day, and after a while I had forgotten what I had chosen, luckily John took notes!!

Hello Chris,

Jim and I were over in June but unfortunately we did not have time to choose our tiles. Bekir sent me a catalogue to choose from. We will being over again in October or December depending on Eid as we live in Kuwait.

When we were there your villa was just having it roof and tiles put on.

Have you chosen your kitchen? We choose ours last December but like you it was all very quick and too much to take in.

We are not having the marble floor as we have pets and from what I have read it is very hard to keep it nice. At first I was having all the extras but now I have deceided to have extras in the kitchen.

Are you having a pool?

Hi Ray

Sort of sorted, I talked the bank into lending me some money on the strength of my house in Sharnbrook, as the housing market is making the dodo look healthy.

I am hoping to rent out the house in England in the vain attempt that in the next 10 years it regains the price it was 10 months ago!!

Property recovery should be quicker than that and in the meantime the rental market should be good as the first time buyers are forceed to stay renting.

Ever the optimist me!
