A public survey carried out in South Cyprus has once again demonstrated the Greek Cypriot Side’s negative attitude towards reaching a solution to the Cyprus Problem.

The results of the survey revealed that younger generations are particularly pessimistic about reaching a settlement.

Hi Bill..

do you think ..

>>The survey showed that 36 per cent of Greek Cypriots believe that Turkish origin citizens of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus should leave the island.<<

..meant Turks from the mainland? .. if so, that figure is INCREDIBLY low.

None of those "Turkish origin citizens" were forced to come over nor it is their fault that they are now TRNC citizens.

"X" person immigrates to "Y" country and after "Z" time he/she becomes eligeble for citizenship?????

If the "X" person has been given none removable assets (with deeds)regardless of circumstances,it cannot be taken back!

Which makes a survey done in another country "IRRELEVENT"

Global exchange????????

I think not

It doesnt fit in "ENOSIS" if you know what I mean

>>None of those "Turkish origin citizens" were forced to come over nor it is their fault that they are now TRNC citizens. <<

Oh, I'm sure they were't "forced" to come..

>>"X" person immigrates to "Y" country and after "Z" time he/she becomes eligeble for citizenship????? << Oh Yes, but as we both know you have to have a nation, first..

>>If the "X" person has been given none removable assets (with deeds)regardless of circumstances,it cannot be taken back! <<

Assuming they weren't somebody else's, in the first place...

Are your "examples" always so full of holes ? .. :(

>>t doesnt fit in "ENOSIS" if you know what I mean<<

Ah, again demonstrating you poor knowledge of most GCs.. they don't want or need "Enosis" - Union with Greece - any more than GR wants the Cypriots !

Ah well, you have Yunus as a "fan" ;)

>>keep campaigning though dear mmmmmm, you never know<<

Oh I know.. ;)

>>.some people get away with murder<<

Sadly, true

credit where credit is due to yorgozlu,

respect should be to the life of a human being and that human being having a right to live a normal, free life without the fear of war, hunger and oppression.

I am afraid that the ROC can expect little respect from the TRNC regarding Turkish migrants.

The ROC has opened up its borders to the whole of Europe. The steady influx of Europeans into the ROC will soon irritate those xenophobic members of the ROC community.

>>"We dont talk out of what we read in the books"but EXPERIENCE if you know what that means <<

Sure.. like *I* don't have first hand experience of inter ethnic hatred / violence

>>We have our own nation, thanks like you <<

My "nation" is really just that - a nation, "thanks" - it is not a failed dream of someone who REALLY wanted part of Cyprus to be part of TR - in the same way some GCs though they wanted Enosis, but hadn't thought it through.

Somebody elses assets? Before 20/07/1974?Have you heard of WAR?? - Yes, and have you heard of the ECHR.. of which TR, by being a signatory to the Council of Europe agrees to abide?

: A thought for the day from my Dear Wife...well, Checkov...

"The person who thinks he knows everything is either a charlatan or a fool !"

I just heard this said on Russian TV and asked her if I had got the translation, correct..

So, Yorgozlu - this "fool" is happy to learn
