I would say that this is another of those Cyprus myths.

There is a problem on the Stanste Express trains because of industrial action.

I wish people would find out facts before puting a load of crap on this site, all you had to do was google Stansted departures.

The only thing I know of regarding Stansted is published on the flights 2008 / 2009 thread - I will update again re the trains if i get more information - just allow a lot of extra time to get there due to the strike and restricted services.

This applies as much to road and rail!

At a guess the only thing to do with swine flu would be with regard to inbound passengers.

Why so rude bob? If people Googled everything then there would be hardly any posts on this forum. It was a simple enough question that I for one found interesting as I am flying back to Ercan on Monday.

Stanstead fully operational,

Stanstead Express running every hour due to rail strike.

Roads chock a block allow extra time getting to airport.

I agree with the last reply. there is industrial action on national express trains, which affects the stansted express. This action is due to be repeated for the next few weeks on Thursdays and fridays.

Going off thread a bit. Have to take the train into Central London (Kensington) next month and have never used the trains from Stansted Airport before. Do they go into Liverpool Street Station and also roughly how long is the journey. Thanks. W

Yes they go from Stansted to Liverpool Street and if you prebook you might get a good all in price to your closest tube stop. Sometimes pre-booking on these services can save 30% and more.

You will find a link for trains and one for coaches all over the UK under the travel tab on http://www.flightholiday.co.uk it's there to give you a comprehensive online travel agents service

i looked at the stansted website before posting.

i was called yesterday from the uk by a customer who told me this was the reason they weren't back here to collect their dogs. i posted to find out what was going on as they aren't the only ones in the uk right now.

i am also looking to book our flights shortly.

so i asked a question, i didn't make a statement!

chill a little.

Firefighter

Flew into Stansted yesterday from Reus - no problems whatsoever and everything appeared normal with the usual queues for passport control! Sandie

Swine flu

Looking at the state of some planes parked up at Stansted airport you'd be better off finding a pink pig that can fly!

I have closed this thread. I am sure that the majority of members would like to be able to post without being attacked. If I see it happening then I see little aternative than to ban members.

I don't care if a member is known as a GC sympathiser, Nazi or seventh day baptist, when they post a question or comment on here they deserve respect. Disagree with posts not the poster.

Well done Bob for the apology
