Have you ever turned up at your place in TRNC in the middle of the night only to find the fuse has been nicked and spent the next day queueing at Kibtek to "buy" another fuse at an exorbitant price only to be told that you can't take the new fuse away with you, but must wait for an "electrician" to come round and fit it?

If this has happened to you and you don't want it to happen again, or you don't want it to happen to you, contact vaughan@sunnycyprus.net for the solution.

When I leave, I take out my fuse just so that doesn't happen.

Yes ... but what happens if you cannot take the fuse ..because you have to leave to pool pump running ....c'mon TRNC Vaughan ..share it with the rest of the forum ...

Our friends had a simpe 'strap' made - securing it over the fuse.

We put a metal bar across ours secured with a few screws, so they have to come armed with a screwdriver. Consequently, they will go for an easier target.

We have had Glass fitted to our meter door at Cousins down tin pan alley cost for small door with tough glass is 10ytl we then lock it. Good idea and inexpensive. I recommend Cousins, sometimes they do it while you wait. we have done loads for our neighbours homes too.
