Have just returned from having the traditional roast at a restaurant in Alsancak and what a good meal it was, three courses for 24TL and the presentation was fantastic. The name of the restaurant "Guido's" and just in case I have not been bribed into posting.

I went there last Sunday. I think it must be me as everyone raves about the Sunday lunch but I found the potatoes and veggies needed seasoning. I was tought at college, before service, check and adjust the seasoning. The crackling was superb

Hi love we are so aware of poeples medications etc so we do not add salt. WE leave that to the indivual. I take your point on board however and I thank you for bringing this to our attention xxx

I think people need to add their own seasoning to taste. My husband overdoes the salt in everything. Better to add it to your own taste than put it in before serving, then everyone can season as they wish!

We have not eaten hardly any salt for many years and if we go somewhere where the food is highly seasoned it is spoilt for us. We are more than happy to add our own if needed.

I understand where you are coming from but I find it unsatisfactory to try to add salt to roast potatoes. It is all a matter of taste. However if you only eat out occassionally a little salt does no harm whatsover or so my doctor advises me
