Strange sighting in the sky

I just saw something very strange in the sky above Kayalar! Curious to know if anyone else saw anything...? If I didn't know better I would say it was a UFO due to the speed it was traveling at and the shape of it. Would like to add that I was totally sober at the time...lol

We were at a wedding on Sunday evening and to our surprise (we had never seen them before) the bride and groom between them set off a mini hot air baloon complete with oil burner. To nearby villages it must have looked like UFOs this was not in Kayalar though but in Stock near Chelmsford in Essex. One wonders if a wedding party in NC had the same idea!!!

We saw it too at about 8.30 last night. We were at Tatlisu & it was to the west of us, at about the height the planes go over, travelling very fast, heading towards the sea & turkey, with bright light behind it. We thought it could be a satelite coming down.

we too were sober and spotted it - our son spotted it first. He just shouted 'look a very fast plane'. Looked like a shooting star but seemed strange as it was still light! Our neighbours saw it too. We're in Lapta btw

I thought it might have been a shooting star also, but it travelled much further than any shooting star I've seen before and it had shape, not just a bright light, plus it was in our atmosphere not up in space! It seemed to be flying in a specific direction and not plummeting, so don't think it was a satelite. I watched it come from Lapta direction, right over the Kayalar range and down behing the mountain. It was around 8:30pm last night as it was still light. Glad I aint the only one who saw it! Maybe it'll make the papers!

I think you might find that it was a JetSki with a young boy on it launched into oblivion by the husband of the lady who had the near miss last weekend!

I heard on the news that an Excell airlines jet had to make an emergency landing back at Larnaca last night I wonder if it was part of its engine or dumped fuel on its return? it had engine failure on one engine........



Just a thought may or may not be something to with what people saw last night?

I saw this over Esentepe last night. It wasn't dark yet so didn't think it was a shooting star. It seemed to shoot more distance as well. It was bright white with a round ball at the front and a stream of white light at the back. This was about 8 ish. I thought perhaps it was a meteor as I hadn't started drinking by that time.

WE saw all sorts of strange lights and movement in the clouds over Karsiyaka 4/5 months ago. Littlenige said his dogs were going ballistyic.



Knowing what it probably was we set off a similar "aliens" theme and got some great fun responses as in this thread.



The answer in our case was the Titanic Gece Kulubu had aquired some huge spotlights and were shining them into the clouds. A few days later the Muhtar told them to switch off or else.



It was a great light show at the time particularly because of an unusual cloud formation.



All that said, most phenomena have a logical explanation but occasionally when Kirk, Spock and co are about who really knows!!!!

BTW, jock1 - normal ganja shouldn't really make people see UFOs, but I would imagine it would either make it a very enjoyable experience or a highly paranoid one.

shooting stars!!! & the best night to see a lot of them in summer (in Italy at least) is the 11th of August, everyone goes down to the beach lies down on towels and watches them, then traditionally there will be a camp fire, someone with a guitar, a sing along, a midnight swim then watching the sun rise!..Ahhh the good old days!

Don't forget to make a wish if you see one ;0)

I truly believe we are not alone, although I have never seen anything myself to back this up, there must be more to this than meets the eye.

The only thing I have been seeing lately, in fact I don't see them they are captured by my camera.......Orbs, I know I am in for some flack now, as the sceptics say they are specks of dust etc..but when you zoom in on them they are three dimensional and have colours inside!

Strange how I am capturing these, and only since the passing of my Mum.
