The PVC will not discolour because it is formulated for the Mediterranian climate and the Aluminium is powder coated and is colour fast. Pvc will expand and contract in the heat but the movement is only 1mm per 1.5 meter, if my memory serves me. Aluminum will not expand or contract by any noticable amount. So the choice is down to personal preferance.

If you you prefer upvc stay with white, much less movement than rosewood.Dark plastic soaks the sun, white reflects it.

Hi....would recommend UPVC if the area is not too large

Ali windows require a wooden frame....this is what will cause headache ie maintenance

Which ever you choose....spend more time getting the closing / locking system right ie secure.

I wouldn't go for the Aluminium, the joints are not welded like the UPVC ant therefore leak during the winter/rains
