Very good prices but would help with an Email address as land-line to land-line communications are haphazard and expensive at the best of times and there are some that cannot view your profile.

Hi Kelly

Why is it half the price to fly from Heathrow than it is from Manchester?

Re msg 14: the prices are all determined on the number of available seats left on that flight, so if there are more seats available on the heathrow flight, those seats will be cheaper than just a few seats left on a manchester flight.

Re msg 13: Prices for flights in April 2011 are already released, we are not expecting prices for May for another couple of months.

There is no competition from Manchester, they can charge what they want.

Pegasus is competition for CTA in the south-east

Not sure about Pegasus but CTA lost the plot when not taking into account the amount of passengers flying in through the South-side, thinking they had a monopoly enabling them to over charge and under-serve visitors to TRNC!

thankyou for all your emails.

The main flight offers as advertised are from UK - Ercan return, please note that these are subject to availability.

We can offer return flights from Ercan - Stansted only, dates between 9th June and 7th July at the reduced prices. Unfortunately we are unable to offer flights from Ercan to any other airport, due to contractual obligations with the airline.

Offers with Cyprus Turkish Airlines from Manchester, Heathrow, Gatwick and Birmingham to Ercan airport, are available for departures up until 12th June. Other dates are available, but prices will be more expensive.

We are currently awaiting confirmation for the prices from UK - Ercan from the end of March 2011. I will keep customers details and inform you as soon as these prices become available.

Is there any chance of any of the airlines opening up in Scotland or the north east of England?

We can offer special deals from Manchester, Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Birmingham airports to Ercan. Unfortunately, we cannot offer flight only deals from any other airport.

If you are looking for package deals (i.e flights, hotels and transfers) we can offer flights into Larnaca from other airports such as Scotland or Newcastle and offer transfers to your hotel in Northern Cyprus.

Re: msg 30, if you are booking a flight only with us, then you would need to claim from your travel insurance if you have extra costs whilst in Northern Cyprus for accommodation etc, however with regards to your flight, we would provide another flight home for you at the earliest opportunity.

It is very unlikely that CTA will go bust, but if they do, then we are a fully ATOL protected company, which is what ATOL is for, i.e if airlines or holiday companies go bust, then you will be brought home.

We are also offering other flight durations apart from just 7, 10 or 14 nights from Stansted airport to Ercan, for example:

10th June - 12th June = £140 return

12th June - 16th June = £130 return

13th June - 17th June = £130 return

17th June - 20th June = £120 return

1st July - 4th July = £140 return

4th July - 8th July = £160 return

7th July - 11th July = £160 return

Please note that we can also offer accommodation and transfers for these short periods i.e 3 days, during June and the beginning of July. Flight prices are subject to availability, and must be booked at least 14 days in advance of travel. Flight prices above are for Stansted to Ercan flights only and we are unable to offer short duration flights from other airports, except Sat - Mon flights or Mon - Sat from Heathrow, and Wed - Sat or Sat - Wed from Manchester - please note that prices from these airports may be higher than from Stansted.

Message 30 + 31 Kelly you are selling flights from CTA sold through Cyprus Premier - if they have any problem for clients from the UK they will be against your ATOL and Cyprus Premier have responsibility it does not matter if it is a dust cloud or a change of destination etc.

By the way what does Tom the resdient Guru think? John

John Msg 45 - you are right if they are sales of BT or IT rate seats (which they must be at these prices) not only might the seller be contravening the airlines agreed contract* but they will be liable as the ATOL bonded carrier if you are flying from the UK. * The airline then has the right to withdraw those seats if their contractual terms have been broken with regard to certain types of sale or seat price.

flightholiday msg 28:

Over the past 30 years, tour operators have been selling their surplus BT / IT / Charter tickets. They do not try to hide this fact. In fact, for many years Green Island would take full page adverts in the centre & back page of the London Turkish newspapers advertising them, in full view of CTA management. There has never been a case where the airline has not honoured them / withdrawn them.

So unsure why you even raise this point? Is it a real risk?

In my experience, the BT tickets have worked in peoples favour. When TWI Flights ceased trading, the ATOL bond kicked in to repatriate everybody who had booked through TWI / Jewels, including the people that had bought Flight Only / BT.

Mus Msg 49

I understand that Green Island sell the tickets with one night at a hotel so that they do not break the rules.

There could be a risk if all the other operators make enough waves at one time that a scheduled airl;ine would have to enforce the contratc which is on all operators such as IAH Anatolian Metak etc. The point is that it is only fair if you buy that you should be informed of the risks and rules involved in your transaction.

When TWI stopped trading they had sold all tickets against their ATOL there were no BT/IT rate tickets. All the seats on Atlas that TWI sold were on a charter basis both holiday & flight only and that is not the same as a scheduled service such as CTA, Pegasus or Turkish Airlines.

Cont Msg 50

re TWI We had a large number of clients who we rebooked to CTA that day and the CAA through the ATOL scheme helped them where they need to. Note in the case of all the charter tickets sold on TWI flights from North Cyprus, sold by hotels and travel agents (not from the UK either direct or through travel agents such as flightholiday or Cyprus Paradise - as was) the TRNC government helped as the sales made from Cyprus were not ATOL bonded and therefore the CAA did not have to repatriate and they did not offer to (but the Cypriot Govt. might not afford to another time).

By the way I do know of some operators who have offered their IT rate seats on scheduled service airlines where they have been told to stop and to pay the full rates or they will lose all seat availability; very costly for them or their clients when the prices revert to the current scheduled seat rate.
