Sounds like you should stayin the air force, it's got to be easier. Why start working for a living now.

I'm sure the RAF do resettlement courses. Make use of them. As for working in the TRNC I wouldn't hold your breath (good one for a diver that) on getting a job, they don't like foreigners much and especially not working. South may be better bet.

Try Assim, Amphora Diving, Escape Beach. His mobile is 05428514924. A dive school with a good reputation.

Why don't you contact Cydive in Paphos?

At least you won't have to get a work permit and all the expense and hassle that goes with it, of which, obviously, you haven't the faintest idea!

Here's a little tip, which too many instructors/dive leaders ignore: ALWAYS swim at the pace of the SLOWEST diver [in your group], and, if necessary, slow down, or stop, the whole group if you notice even one member hyperventilating !!!

He has many years experience as a diving instructor and has trained British Army squaddies to dive whilst inthe RAF.

He can also fly an aeroplane - currently working towards his pilots licence

he lives in the South but prefers the North.

Really not sure if you might be interested or if your background might cover it but my employer might be looking for someone with turbine maintenance experience (rotating equipment really).

It would mean 4 weeks rotational work offshore middle east which doesn't sound like what you are looking for and after 22 years in the mob I don't blame you, I did 11 and needed a couple of years in a settled place before I went back to the back and forward life.

Just thought I would throw it out there, if you think you might be interested mail me and I will send you the HR reps address so you can send a CV.

Hiya Berty.

I have tried to get a job in Saudi with BAe & it is my prefered place to work at present for obvious reasons.

However there only seems to be Typhoon jobs on offer & i've been turned down for these.

I have no Tornado experience just 15 years 1st & 1nd line on Harriers & 7 years on wide bodied jets here in Cyprus at Akrotiri.

I'm a Rigger without prop course due to my inability to complete the requirements because of no rects here in Akrotiri.

I can't email you as i haven't enough posts on the forum to see your email but i can send you my CV if u contact me :- scubarob@hotmail.co.uk

Thanks for your time.

22 years in the RAF as airframe techy mostly on Harriers but on wide bodied too.

I haven't done my engines course as i couldn't finish it here as we don't do rects at Akrotiri.

I've applied for BAe in Suadi but all the jobs are Typhoon & i've been turned down. I'm guessing due to no Typhoon experience.

Any help you can provide wiould be much appreciated.
