Well who'da thunk it? Spain knocked off their superiority perch by Switzerland... The ramifications of this will reverberate through the competition and goes to show that nobody should take results for granted.

I love it... I know some of the press and TV commentators have dubbed it boring but I'm finding it fascinating...

What Fabio would have given for Walcott to be at the world cup, come on in the last 30 minutes and terrorise any defence USA defence.

He has only got himself to blame.

I think it's great to see results like the Spain - Swiss match. Makes the competition more interesting . I fear Capello has made a big mistake ( and it has been proven already ) by taking players that are obviously not fit !! Ferdinand and King already out and Barry and Joe Cole having only played a handful of games between them in the last few months . It could come back and bite us in the bum , but i hope not. I still think we have enough quality to progress but we need our match winners to perform . Maybe Mr Rooney will decide to play in the next game !!

Viva Mexico! virtually dump France out at the group stages...

Ah now that has changed the landscape quite dramatically...

Wonder if they'll play their secret weapon, Francois Houdini in the next game....

Heskey: "I had an open goal but still I didn't score. I could kick myself."

Capello: "I wouldn't bother. You'd probably miss."
