Just flew back to the UK from Larnaca last night, the airport was really busy had to stand for 1hour 30 to check in as i was standing got talking to other people beside and around me was shocked to find a large number of them were CTA passengers who had to rebook at their own expense to get home to the UK with no help or assistance coming from anyone in the north. Some of them it was their first trip and found it very hard being left high and dry with no assistance in a place they didnt know. Government sources had offered some of them flights but not for 3 to 4 weeks at the earliest as they said how were they susposed to survive financially as they waited. To top it all they had all had to pay over the odds for their flights as the airlines smelling blood had shot their prices up, with every flight out of Larnaca guaranteed 100% occupancy its a bonanza for some.

The authorities in the TRNC talk of encouraging Tourism, where was the meaningfull help, advice and financial support !!!

plus the insurance or credit card company should be paying. If they had the time it would have a been an excuse for an extended holiday.

In yesterday's CT, the aircraft previously used by KTHY are more than likely going to be all repossesed. Atlasjet do not have enough aircraft of their own to cope with the upcoming tourist demand plus the people still here or in UK after collapse.

We returned here with Monarch on Tuesday and the flight was full and we heard several in the check in etc saying they were coming north.

With all the misinformation coming from all sorts of sources it is going to be a nightmare few months and I sincerley hope all those that wish to travel can get some sort of transprort.
