Does any body have any info on flights from London to Ercan at Christmas

i can only find flights with 3 hours or more stopovers so i would assume you would have to change planes, which means taking off luggage and checking in again rather than just wait on the plane for an hour or so.

Why dont you fly to Larnaca instead and then get taxi to pick you up from Larnaca.

Hi PN,

Who were the 3 hour stopover flights with as that sounds strange as normally only 45 mins to 1 hour stop in turkey??

Are you sure you took into account the + 2 hours time difference aswell as the stopage time as this may be the 3 hour difference??

See ya D

Thanks D,

The only one i found was a Turkish airlines flight, there were various departure times from Heathrow, the first at 07.55 am but they all arrive at Ercan at 22.05

so i would assume there is no direct flight just one flight leaving Istambul at 20.40.

There is a flight from Stanstead which leaves at 13.20 and that too arrives at Ercan at 22.05 so it must be the same plane for both flights.

Paul,

Flights for the winter season are not published by CTA till mid/late August.

Pegasus and SunExpress are hoping to offer their schedules before that.

There will be plenty of choice in the first few weeks but as the prime flights can sell out very fast it would be wise to get your name on the list at IAH/FlightHoliday. We already have requests from regulars for the winter flights. They use our website and the booking form there so when the seats are made available we can get our requests in for you.

We are flying this route in September as we could get no other, but I have

been told luggage checked striaght through to ercan.

Also coming home the wait at Istanbul is not as long.

Hi Mancity,

We too are going over in September but are flying in to Larnaca, are you flying from Heathrow at 07.55 and then having to wait until 20.40 before leaving for Ercan, even with the two hour difference thats still a long day.

You should arrive at Istambul at 13.40 approx their time, the later flight at 11.45 will get you there at 17.30 even this means over three hours, they would have to put you somewhere for this time you couldn't just sit on the plane as you normally do so i just wanted to know if anyone else has done this.

They may provide a free bar somewhere while your waiting for all i know.

We havn't flown this route before usually go m/cr - dalaman - ercan, so all new to us.

no we are flying from m/cr flight time approx 1100 to istanbul then a 4 hr wait

at istanbul in the bar area to get our flight to ercan to arrive there at ercan 2250.

Don't think there's a free bar I wish will have to take some turkish lira.

Autumn Flight offers on Pegasus to Turkey or North Cyprus from Stansted.

We have just been told that there will be some great deals with Pegasus.

IAH hope to give you some best rate deals by Wednesday and if I'm right and we have the right prices they will "fly out of the window". There will be a discount and then an extra discount if you are fast enough. The only thing I can confirm is that you must fly between the 10th September and the 10th October 2007.

Take an option on line now at http://www.flightholiday.co.uk

Depending what day you travel from Manchester the wait in Istanbul is only about 90mins. I did it last September and I was virtually off one plane straight onto the next. I'm coming over again in a few weeks

Hi Jackie

have a look at flythomascook.com had some good deals with them.

Next trip £170 for 2 adults, thought that quite a good price.

IAH are getting some excellent deals through from CTA and at last they are starting to open the winter bookings (they are not fully ready yet but put your requests in with us now) http://www.fezbus.co.uk/Flight_Option_Form there is no charge if you take an option with us this way.

The prices have not yet been updated on all winter flights on the Cyprus Turkish Airlines /KTHY computer system so do not expect accurate quotes from them or us yet!

Examples from yesterday (all adults):

One way Ercan to Manchester November 2007 Total from us £132

Return Manchester Ercan November 2007 £250

Return Birmingham Ercan October 2007 £275

Similar fares will apply to Turkey.

(Pegasus flights are due shortly both Turkish internal and international.)

P.S. IAH have not posted this for over a week although CTA have given us the information (in dribs and drabs) as their systems have not even yet been fully updated. (It is very complex.)

Hi Tom

I am looking for return flights from Manchester to Ercan in October and wondered if you had anything that is reasonably priced and without the long wait on the tarmac in Turkey. I require 4 tickets. Thanks.

Hi Dawnie,

Just seen your message IAH do not try to conduct trade on these bb's, if you want try to contact us direct either preferably by the option form on our http://www.flightholiday.co.uk web site http://www.fezbus.co.uk/Flight_Option_Form or by email to info@flightholiday.co.uk

We do largely try to give helpful information from our experience on these bb's.

Thanks

Tom
