Don't think that you can get it here but the dried yeast works well. Most supermarkets have packets of this.

Dried is easy, if you want fresh I would try a bakery and take a TC or Turkish speaking person with you.

All the supermarkets have fresh yeast its normally in the chiller cabinet near the yoghurt and eggs. Small cubes wrapped in red and gold foil.

WE get it from atakara, alsancak for our patasa, and our breads. Not always available though Illeli also its called pak maya. x 1 .75 tl 42gms

I saw an Italian baker on telly last week and he uses a piece of "yesterdays" dough in his bread so he never actually buys yeast anymore!! Bit like making yoghurt I suppose.
