Hello all

We had a night at Jasmine Court last Friday. We enjoyed smashing food from the buffet which is on from 19:00- 21:00, lots of free drinks and only spent 25tl for the slot machines. It was a really brill' evening. We know this happens every Friday and Saturday but doe's anyone know if this is on during the week?

Thanks for your replies.

The casinos give nothing away, so this free publicity (and food) is great for them. The more people who accept this kind and generous offer of free food and drink will mean a few extra souls wandering across to see what that spinning wheel is all about.

I am not knocking it, enjoy it all you can.

It would help my butcher if Jasmine Court Hotel paid its over 90 day bill which has still not been paid, the credit terms being 30 days!

If you start making it a regular thing, the Management will stop it. The cameras watch everything! If you have residency, I don't think you are allowed to go into the Casinos anyway, the same as the Cypriots.

You have to join at Jasmine Casino to get a plastic swipe card. When you find a machine that you like, credit can be put on your card to be used on that machine. If you want to change machines, it is such a palaver. Better to get the coins and go where you want. But for any big wins they will come and swipe your card and give you the dosh. Last time I went I won 65 TL. The free food and drinks, are always on. The buffet in the middle opens at 7pm in the evenings, but there are other food places around the outer rim of the casino.

Deniz;

You don't have to show any ID to go in - but if the local police pays a visit to check IDs, (and they randomly do) it can mean spending the night at the police station!

Re msg 6, you have to show your passport to get an entry card

Cratos also do free food and drinks in the Casino..... but, as the old saying goes," there's no such thing as a free lunch " !!

Chance of being arrested for being in a casino! What's the country being run by kindergarten staff. (no disrespect to kindergarten staff).

Msg 2 and 9..

Whats wrong with that?

I dont see the problem with going to a casino having a good time and spending a few TL's.

The free food and drink is the reason why people go

It is illegal for local's to visit casinos, therefore if caught then yes they are arrested..

well, we have been residents here for 5 years and we have a card, never been there whilst a police raid was being carried out though.

I did hear though that when the police were at the door an alarm sounded and all the TC's ran out the back way, I felt that the police were just wanting to be seen to do their jobs.

Since when could residency (see stamp for status "VISITOR") mean that Yabanci (foreigners) could not enter a casino?

Think its all a nonsense and I will not stop going, if they want to pull my residency they are welcome to do so, I will just come on a 90 day visa like anyone else. Their loss not mine, I will spend the money I save on the residency in the casino!!

msg15 sue, good on ya girl.

I've been in a few casinos here and they all seem to have an open buffet and free drinks. Before the smoking ban they even gave you free ciggs in some of them.

I'm sure they hate me because I always come out with more money than I go in with. Not telling before anyone asks ;-) and no it's not card counting.

It does not sound a good behaviour to go to a casino for food.you have to deserve that food.So it would be a better idea to go to a restaurant and have food there
