Hi 3 months ago Kibtec came and changed all the meters on our estate to digital meters, since then non of us have received bills, been to kibtec they have no bills for us, banks no nothing has this happened to anyone else?

We think they will read sometime and give an enlarged bill by only giving us 1 x250 units at cheap rates where we should have had 3 months at first 250 units on low rate

I haven't had a bill since the meter was changed in August. Not only that, but they have stopped collecting money from my bank. When I was in the bank last week, they were able to check my Kibtek account, and saw that I was 2 months in arrears, so I made a manual payment. A bit of a concern, as after 3 months I'd have been cut off.

No idea why the payments stopped being collected, but I'll keep an eye on it at the end of the month.

Why they've stopped issuing bills, I don't know either. I assume the new meters are now read remotely, so they just don't bother with bills.

New meters sounds like Kidtek need to update thier computors to reconise the fact your meters have been upgraded

Good luck as message 2 says might be worth paying a manual payment on so you dont get cut off

i was one of the first to have the new electricity meters in Girne last year and there was no information. was told they would be remotely read and bills sent to our mobiles. checked in the bank but was told the customer numbers would change and to go and enquire at the Kibtek offices. which i did, i was told that it will take a few months to sort out and come back to the offices at a later stage. they wouldn't be read remotely for quite some time as it would take time to get the system up and running. however after about 2 months of my meter being installed the reader started to come round and read the meters again and has continued ever since! i can only assunme that as time has gone on they have got more behind and will eventually start to read your meters again and the remote reading system may not be running till all meters have been changed. all i can say is just put to one side what your bills are on average so when they start reading you'll more or less have the money ready.

We had our bill on 1st December for 3 months. The first since the meter change. They have shown 78TL as a brought forward figure & charged interest on this amount. I think that this must be the first couple of weeks in September from the old meter. I object to being charged interest on a bill I have never received.

We got our bill 1 dec or 3 months, went to bank yesterday to pay the bill was ok but kibtec had added an extra 6.38tl to bill that they notified the bank to take do not know why? Bank assured me it was not a charge by them, maybe interest charged by kibtek.

Sometimes get a bill stuffed in the letter box but mostly it gets blown away as they throw it on the floor near the door, same goes for the water bill.
