Translates as Tuncay's Place, pronounced (Tunj i's)

Another new restaurant/kebab house to try out and well worth trying too.

Located on the main road near Esentepe, opposite Mardo's Ice Cream and the new supermarket and Lapis development.

This is a family run restaurant and all food is home made and freshly prepared. Best şeftali kebab I have tasted in my opinion.

Prices in the 18 to 22 lira bracket for main courses which include a large number of mezes. They also have a fix menu price which is very good. Tuncay, your cook, is very anxious to please his customers.

Do give it a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.

Took the family to Tuncay'in Yeri, Esentepe, this week.

Food was excellent from start to finish, not a huge menu to choose from but we all chose something different, no one was disappointed and everyone left saying they thought their choice was the best!!!! We all agreed the service was first class and the lovely big log fire was most welcoming.

Could not fault it in any way. It is definately going to be one of my local favourite eating places.

I wish them every success for the future.

Glad you enjoyed it, the menu is not vast but maybe quality as opposed to quantity of choice.

Carmel

Exactly - quality counts first in my book every time which is what makes this restaurant special. The quality of the food and service are first class. The menu is comprehensive enough for me, the meze is superb - as I said, I cannot find one single fault.

Very best wishes for the future.

From Esentepe turn off, go towards Girne and it's on the left hand side facing Mardo's and the new supermarket.

You have to enter via the road to the 'Olive Grove' development, then turn right.

For anyone visiting this restaurant they have erected a huge sign so you should have no problem, assuming you are on the right road.

Above directions are good if coming from Girne watch out for Mardo's and shop on the left at the Lapis site, then it is the next turn on the right.

Had a meal in our lovely new restaurant last eve.

Everything about it was excellant. The welcome, the service everything.

Delicious food beautifully cooked and presented.

A huge plus for the East side!!!!

I do hope they do well and get the support they deserve.

Will certainly visit often.

Impossible not to enjoy Carmel.

Very difficult time of year to open a new restaurant.I feel sure that once folk have tried it they'll want to return again & again.

Have sung it's praises on our forum and will tell all our friends and aquaintences that don't have have access to our particular forum. Hopefully help in some small way towards getting it recognised

I am sure you will do the same

When you find somehere good you want to share the experience.

A huge bonus to us because it's so local

It isn't my restaurant, I just leave beside it and I think the food is really good so I wanted to pass the information on to others. I'm glad you are all enjoying it too.

Also news later about New Year's Eve - I hope.
