Does anybody have a web address for Atlas Jet? Just tried their web site for flights from Manchester and even though I have put "English" non of the flights from are from Manchester!! Have they stopped flying from Manchester? If so, anybody got any ideas of any company now flying to the north from Manchester? And web addresses please. Thank you.

AtlasJet seems to have ceased all routes from Ercan except those to Istanbul, Izmir, Adana and Ankara.

Only Pegasus fly to Manchester without a change of planes, on Wednesdays only, they are currrently charging extortionate fares and you have to buy everything once onboard. Their website is http://www.flypgs.com. Fares start from around £400pp

It looks like the best option from Manchester this summer into Ercan will be Turkish Airlines, on some days (its like 3 per week) you have a short 1-1h30min change in Istanbul, with sensible departure times 09:45 (Ercan) and 11:30 (Manchester) together with nice arrival times at both ends. Fares are pretty consistent @ around £350pp return including EVERYTHING onboard!

It's always worth looking at flying from Liverpool or Manchester to Amsterdam with easyJet or KLM then onto Ercan with Corendon as they seem pretty good and fairly cheap.

Jet2 and Monarch tend to be the cheapest options into Larnaca...

Hope this helps!

You can fly BA to Larnaca direct flight for £225 from London Heathrow, arrives 3:15 in the afternoon, daily I believe. All food and drinks on board included, 23kg for hold luggage, 1 piece hand luggage 7kg and you can carry your handbag or laptop bag additionally. Transfers vary between £35 - £50 each way.

Monarch are cheaper, however, by the time you include all your extras, i think it's only by about £15.

monarch from manchester to Larnaca. Sundays and Wednesdays. Jet2 start in May. Prices are very reasonble compared to Turkish.............our flights plus the taxi worked out at just one flight only with Turksih. You pays your money and takes your choice...........food is exyra but worth the price. At least the stewards/esses are very pleasant. No duty free though. Getting through the boarder is good if you have a good taxi firm too.........

Atlas stopped operating the UK route in their own name when CTA schedules stopped running.

I think flightholiday can confirm that and there are flights from Manchester with two airlines that can get you into Ercan from Manchester - I know cause that is what he offerd a mate of mine.

Monach from Manchester to Larnaca is your best bet even with the £50 taxi fare. If there two off you it works out at approx £250 each with the "extras"

Parking at Ercan is 15TL for the first day and then 5TL per day after that. Depends what you mean by long stay, if its only for 2 weeks its not too bad. Any longer and it might be worth getting a taxi.

If you have a look at the Atlasjet website advert (number 3 of 5) you see destinations they fly to. In a different coloured type you see Stansted and Manchester (strangley also Ercan) along with other destinations as if to say "coming soon"

Perhaps Tom at flightholiday might be able to throw a bit more light on it.

Jet2 also fly in and out of Yeadon, Leeds Bradford airport. An option for the North West of England as well as Manchester.

Thanks everybody. London Heathrow and Gatwick are too far. Parking a car there for 6 weeks is very expensive.

Looks like it may have to be Larnaca. Hope they will sort out flights from this area again one day. Either that or the change at Turkey and hope the flights dont get delayed and then missed.

John Msg 6 - I think you are right and yes we can provide two routes from Manchester to Ercan

Colin - Msg 11 - The advert you are looking at on the Atlas site is out of date (they should have taken it down in October). There might be new products on the market place soon but that is a different story.

I'm booked Ercan to Manchester (via Antalya) on Pegasus end of March £71,69 one way.

Thought I'd leave the return a bit to see if this new Cyprus Turkish Airline starts up
