Any recommendations on transporting things back to UK

Hi, I would appreciate any advice or recommendations on transporting some personal items back to uk.



Door to door. Had a quote from one company here but it was way over the top.

Don't know about ging back, but I was very pleased with the service from Jo Valentine for bringing my container from Scotland.

If it's only a few items then try whichever airline you are flying with. If you pre-book the excess (or freight) you may be surprised by the cost. Obviously only for a few personal items (not sofa's...LOL)

plus you get the bonus of it being there with you....

Thank you for your replies. I would say about 2 large cases of clothes, about 8 boxes & Samsung TV & stand.

Christine Msg 1 - If the load is small then you would do best to wait till someone is making up a part container load. Ask Jo Valentine she is doing it quite often in both directions - your best bet

If you want an alternative (probably earlier) more under your control - I would need to know the exact cubic space and weight and I can ask our freight forwarders fopr a price TRNC to Stansted.

Ismail from Lapta does regular runs to u/k.We used him door to door 05428569756 or u/k mobile 07946563574 He uses a large Transit type van.Top bloke.

Meerkat, you could do worse than try Ramadan and Arif Kelebek (Kelebek Transport). Based in Lapta, these guys transport to and fro Lapta / SE London, using a convoy of long wheel-base Transit type vans with refrigerated trailers.



I have used their services six times now. Everything arrived (in the TRNC) intact and without incident, delivered to my door - no issues with TRNC or en-route customs either.



Both Ramadan and Arif are currently in SE London, having brought over to the UK 4-6 vehicles - I've not counted up to be exact. Might be these guys also go in with Ismail, as mentioned above.



I've not yet used their services for bringing items back from TRNC to London - although I am well aware plenty of people have. The family have been running the SE London => <= Lapta transport service for over 26 years now.



I don't have a commercial interest, simply a satisfied client.
