Can someone can tell me the average pool temperatures in late May/early.

We have two young children (pre school) and want to get the balance right i.e. unheated pool warm enough to enjoy but the weather not too hot for them.

Would mid/late June be a better time to visit?

Thanks

Neil

I would suggest that late May if far better for young children than late June, that is getting hot

The unusual inclement weather for this time of year, I'd suggest the later date.

My neice used to come over for the half term break at the end of May/beg June and in all honesty we used to have to take her out of the pool as she used to start to go blue!

The weather is a little hit and miss and only once in 4 years was it warm enough for her to stay in for any length of time and stay a reasonable colour.

In my experience I don't find the pool comfortable until well into June.. .certainly not May! July and August is wonderful... just walk in without any 'shiver' factor, but April, May and early June no way!

my grand daughter cam to visit when she was 8 months old and she loved the pool and that was the second week in May. The pools in July I find are not refreshing as too warm

Thanks for all your reply, I think we'll 'hedge our bets' and probably plan for mid/late June.

In late June the temperatures rise relentlessly day by day until they peak in July/August I would say that your children would find it hot

My grandaughter age 1 and a half came out last May 20th and we swam at Kervan Beach and in my pool every single day for two weeks of warm/sunshine - we went to Lapta Water Park/ Green Garden and had to find shade on most days

I remember thinking that about the 19th June I was glad she was not here as it was far too hot to take a little one out. Most years are the same but who knows with the worldwide weather anyway!

I would agree Mid May for anyone coming from English weather will find it very warm, My grandhildren had to be dragged out of the pool and the only way we could do it was to promise a trip to the beach. Living here makes a big differene last year our first we were swimming from beginning April much to our neighbours horror, this year I think I will wait a week or two. June may be far to hot if anything like last year.
