I was looking over the fence outside the abbey at Bellapais when my wife pointed out about 20 binliners ckocka block with beer bottles and cans and other drink related stuff, looked like it had been dumped there by a pub, literally just over the fence in full view you can't miss the mess, I mean what a place to dump it, right in the middle of a tourist attraction, unbelievable.

shytallknight.

People who dont see whats wrong with dumping rubbish ,and are not embarrassed by everybody seeing the mess ,are not likely to give a damn about what tourists or anyone else thinks or give a damn if its a tourist attraction or not.

our local shop keeper provided bins, they still don't use them!

they need to start in the schools to teach the kids not to do it .

on saturday the local police arrived at my house. obviously the local racist family had complained again. they didn't like the smell coming from our bin.

the bin is an old oil drum ,as the dustbin men smashed our new bin and we refused to buy another.when the turkish speaking policeman explained what the problem was, i just laughted and told him to go and see muhtar and find out when our new bin promised was going to arrive?

after all we have now been waiting for a month.

i also asked him why he wasn't knocking on all doors in our street asking people to pick up their rubbish and dog c--p from outside as that also smelt?

he just laughed!i bet he wasn't laughing after hubby went and saw his boss!

so the moral of the story is: if you are cypriot it is okay to drop your rubbish in the street and let your dog c--p all around, but not if you are en
