The case starts at 11 am today (not 10 am). I think Pauline judges the amount of interest by the messages she receives and the number of people who turn up at court to show their support. It is a heartbreaking situation, and unfortunately one in which many are going to find themselves soon. Those people are also going to need help and support in the future when they lose their homes through no fault of their own.

For anyone who is interested, the case was adjourned until 10.30 on Friday, 17th June, and it is thought that it will be up to two weeks before the decision. I am sure that Pauline will make you aware of more of the facts when she is back online.

Pauline has written her report on this hearing and it will be up and running on NCFP SHORTLY.

Short hearing, one witness for K5. Friday should see one witness for Akfinans and the winding up statements.

The Judge wil probably l take some days to arrive at his decision.

Let us all hope the decision is in Pauline and the other poor unfortunate villa owners favour.

If it is then this decision will also cascade down to be in the TRNC's favour.

Buyers waiting in the wings will be given a ray of hope that TRNC can still be a place to encourage future investment into the property market.

Two ways for the outcome here, nail it so that is nailed in Pauline and the other villa owners favour.

Or if the decision goes in the banks favour run the risk of the the final nail in the coffin of the TRNC property market, coupled up with making senior citizens homeless, not good either for the reputation of the TRNC.

Good luck Kulaksiz 5 let us hope justice will privail !!

Agreed cyprusairsoft, but the Kulaksiz 5 victims need to know that they have moral support for it to be of any comfort to them at all.

The result of the K5 debacle, whichever way it goes, will set the precedent either to deter other rogue banks, or 'open the floodgates' for further blatant fraud.

Whilst the 'bankers' from Akfinans spend their weekends in their (Pauline's villa) weekend retreat, they must be so proud to have stolen it from her, they appear to be living in fear there hence 5 CCTV cameras, understandalbe really, would you want Pauline for your enemy?? You never know she might talk them to death. Or even, heaven forbid, wink at them. Dangerous woman.

If the court decision goes in Paulines and the rest's favourt then Pauline should also stupulate whoever has occupied her property without Paulines consent should be charged rent plus wear tear tear of her property !!

Hey Pipie, Pauline is still laughing , what a great suggestion. Only one problem, they have turned it into a veritable palace, well it did only cost them £3,500 i.e. 1/13th of the loan so they could afford to spend a small fortune on it, and they have. How much rent do you reckon she should charge, if she wins (positive thinking, when she wins along with all of K5)

You may not realise it but there are 000's of people awaiting the outcome of this trial. Unfortunately 50% of those are probably bent builders and banks/finance companies.

I am sure that the judge knows exactly how damaging this is going to be to the country and hundreds of other homeowners (not just expats). Let us pray he will be really wise and find for the homeowners?

Don't really see how he can do anything else.

Crossing everything for you all.

I was privileged to meet Pauline and others outside the court on Tuesday. I was pleased to see that spirits were high. When the case is won by the victims it will be a watershed in TRNC legal history. This will only be the start as I'm sure the bank will appeal. The victims legal journey has been & is a hard one but when they are finally successful, many, many others will be eternally grateful to them.

Please God Hector K5 will win! It's all down to stamina, and taking one step at a time! Pauline has had everything thrown at her! It is a privilege to be her friend
