Is Manchester Utd a spent force in the english prem or is it just a blip eg. Loosing to liverpool drawing with everton etc . etc .etc. Is Liverpool going to be the dominant force in the english Prem after beating Chelsea at the weekend .

I tipped Liverpool to win the Premiership at the beginning of the season. I see no reason to change.

Man Utd are struggling at the moment - but I think you are right, they are so predictable. Ronaldo looks as though he does'nt want to play football anymore.

i think you are hoping they are a spent force,

after all, we cant win it every year

liverpool have never won the prem and i dont think they ever will ! But if its any consolation i dont think you will go down.

in fact, when was the last time they won the league ?!!!!!!

and if you ever lose gerrard for any period..... curtains !

Liverpool's last league championship was in 1989-1990 season. they finished the season on 79 points with 23 wins, 10 draws & 5 losses. it is now 16 years since that victory.but who lifted the trophy. By the way dosent matter weather its the Prem or The old first division it is still the champions of england.

Theres no way that the scousers are going to win the premier league they have been very lucky so far like the deflected goal at Chelsea yesterday . it is going to be a two horse race again CHELSEA and man u with the winners being the blues. just wait till we get the likes of Drogba, Essien, cole,Ballack back so on what i saw yesterday you will have to settle for 3rd or fourth again , the power of football will return once again to sw6

Lıverpool have a great chance of wınnıng the Premiership this year. Wins against Chelsea and Man U, put them firmly in the drıvers seat. They are playing with great heart and determination. Even when they are behınd and look down and out. They come back for the win. Torres will return soon. He is without doubt the no 1 striker in the premıership. So goals are assured. A Gerard ınspired mıdfield and a stingy defense. 7/2 still looks a faır prıce.

There will be many twısts and turns before the end of the season.

But this could well be Lıverpools year.

Dont get carried away we heard this last year until raffa started rotating his squad he wants to win the champions league like most foreign managers he knows that Liverpool wont be able to keep it up for 40plus games.Sorry to take the wind out of your sails but with a bit of luck come May 09 you may take 4th place like you always do.

Hi Kenny B i am not getting carried away it seems to me that all you man u fans are the same I just started this thread to see what type of opinions are out there typical of man u fans but other fans seem to have a more balanced view Liverpool Fans welcome competition ! but you man u fans would be happy playing among yourselves as long as you win! When you steel players with your wealth its O.K but let any other club try to buy your players you do nothing but whinge and moan and cry like babys !

How can someone from Wigan be a Man U supporter... Why not the Latics...

I lived in Wigan for 35 years but stuck thro' thick & thin with my boyhood team Blackburn Rovers... 94/95 was a good season ... I was working in Irlam,Manchester at the time among quite a few M.U. supporters... Going into the last match at Liverpool, 2 pts ahead of M.U. it was as good as ours the title... Liverpool would "lay down"... Did they, no won 2.1 but thanks to West Ham the Rovers got the trophy they deserved...Great going into work on the Monday saying Liverpool did you a big favour what happened ?...

A few seasons back M.U. "lay down" against West Ham losing 2.1 in the last match... Do you honestly think if M.U. had to win ie. 2 pts ahead, to win the title... They would lose... I don't think so... Ask Wigan & Sheffield Utd supporters what they thought ..

As sportsmen M.U. couldn't hold a candle to Liverpool... Maybe that is the true colours of SAF ... He gets all the credit..

If im not playing im taking my ball home !.Typicall like most of you adopted mancs if your not winning your not playing. hindley I beleive comes under thw wigan borough the only reason you dont support your local club is that they are not succsessfull enough (YET).

Eh come ed lard calm down, calm down.At the end of the day Liverpool were the team of the eighties and man u were the team of the nineties and have carried on up to present day. They have also won the premier league more times then any other club being succesfull a total of 10 times.

In answer to your question about utd being a spent force,i would say no.

In answer to your question regarding Liverpool dominating the premier league.Computer says no.So walk on with hope in your heart laaard.,

Hi Andy/Sue

I see supersouser as gone quiet it would appear that most 44 members that have responded to his posting have put him straight with regards to his rantings over who will win the league.Does superscouser realise that in January Gillette and Co need to re finance their debt and it will be around the same time that Mark Hughes will be shopping with the City owners millions oops meant billions I would laugh my head off if Stevie G and their beloved Fernando ended up travelling down the A580 to Eastlands I think that most fans would agree that if Gerard left Liverpool then they would struggle to make top 4

Hi newlad

Thanks for your balanced view , im well aware thers along time to go in the prem . but watch this space, if we dont win the prem we will finish above those manc yanks down the road. That would give us some sollice. dont you just get fed up of the biggoted mancs. Ronaldo best player in the world but he is as loyal as a Pikey.

Thought it wouldnt be long before you took the bait

B stands for Baxter

I can assure you that Andy/sue is no ladyboy he stands 6feet 2 inches tall is built like a brick outhouse and happily married with a young family.

Rooney for Eastlands more chance McCain for Whitehouse.

Ronaldo for Eastlands more chance Ross and Brand BAFTA award for best comedy duo.

Speaking of comedy duos George Gillette and Rick Parry now they are funny

hey S.S

re message 52.....bet you 20bucks liverpool wont finish above utd .

iagree about ronaldo and i would have sold him at highest price last season ,fergie cud just have made mistake with that loyalty....but he allways appears to get it right

as a famouse kenny rogers song "THE GAMBLER" you got to know when to hold, and know when to fold em etc.

very glad lfc beat rent boys ,but i think that will galvenise chelsea more, big test tonight away to hull who are playing great ,but sadly will drop off as probably dont have strength, but top ten season1 (remember reading ?)

so for me chelsea top,utd joint 2nd with lfc and 1 point below arseanl ...that tight

but its october still

My last words on the subject scally

take it from me, if you end up potless AGAIN this season your beloved gerrard and torres will be seeking to play for a successful club, one that gives a serious challenge to winning the prem.

Remind me again, when was gerrard linked with a move to chelsea ?

And as for the gay boy up front, he is probably already regretting signing and will seek a move to a BIGGER club or might even move abroad !

And Kavenkoy i will have that bet whatever 20 bucks is then again be better taking 7 t 2 from bookies yes thats what price we are . after tonight when we stuff pompei who knows what price well be anyway as i said in my last post no 56 Iwill end on this note now im sorry we are on top HA HA

The last player to move from utd to Liverpool was Phil Chisnall in 1964.Just goes to show that there is no love lost between the two clubs,

Paul.
