Are you asking for the cost of the Kaymakums fees or the cost for the whole wedding day?

Look on the Owners Direct website and you will get a good idea of the cost of hiring a villa.

So who is this for? And what nationhality? And as you appear to be Turkish, don't you have any rellies here who can advise. Or, use a wedding planner, but be prepared to pay them !

Your question is too vague for a precise answer. How big is the wedding/ Where will the reception be? What do you want? A meal, nibblies, flowers, cdake etc, etc. The Kaymakan is the least of your worries as far as cost is concerned. And are you eligible to marry here? Or is it for a friend or daughter.

Honestly, not being funny, but there is no simple answer to that.

I am not an expert, and you need to talk to the Kymakan. The reason I say this is because if you are a Turkish national and NOT Turkish Cypriot, then you may not be allowed to do the legal work here. if you have a British passport, that could make a difference.

Interesting that you say you have no rellies here, but are looking for an event for 600 people. I reckon you need to book yourself a big hotel, And if you are serious, I hope you are a milionaire, as no wedding for 600 people will come cheap. Unless you are offering your guests a bag of peanuts and a glass of water.

What do others think who know more about these things than I do? But I repeat 'are you SERIOUS?'

Marion as you have rightly pointed out the query is too vague to answer on a public forum, if it is for this august then yes it is very late to get something of this size organised but not impossible.

Contact me off board and i might be able to help.

600 guests in a small villa ?(lol)

if your guests do not live in Cyprus

getting flights for 600 people may be a problem

Valid point philbailey, but I am assuming they will all be here! But I have to ask 'Why Cyprus' if you have not been here for 36 years. romantic idea, I suppose, but maybe a bit of a dream. Get in touch with Teresa though. She will give you trhe answers.

are you sure you are speaking of the same person, Woodspeckie. Yes, I looked at the earlier postings and several references are made to things out here. So come on message no.1, are you serious? How can you not be here for 36 years and yet be at a beach clean up? And what happened to your wife and kids, or is that name only and you finally want to marry.

You have confused me, 0 and probably some others as well.

Msg 1

The cost of getting married, no matter where you are, is a financial life burden on the 'bread winner'. Don't do it!

Orthodox Greek marriage ceremonies consist of endless chanting Priests ending up in them throwing stones at the bride & groom. They must be very wise men knowing what is install for the hapless couple for their future!

Richard, message 15.

As you know, I'm not one to be pedantic but I feel I must address your comment. Surely it should read:

"......knowing what is in store for the hapless couple................"

as opposed to "what is install"?

Regards.

Jean.

I am really disappointed that you have won the Lotto and I am still waiting. But if I had won the Lotto and wanted a wedding, I would go to the best hotel, tell them what I wanted and let them get on with - money no object. So go for the best, as I assume your wife to be is something special and worth every lira.

How much does it cost? whatever you want it to. Do I get an invitation?

By the way David Haye used the Malpas, and they cater well for large crowds and 5 course mealsplus entertainment. Why not go there with an open cheque book.
