Many thanks people. Will take both anyone but hate being told NO at the checkout like we used to get in the UK before they changed to the card as well as cash - sometimes its the opportunity buy not enough ready folding in hand!!!

Yes, the crossing point was on a mission yesterday. The south were also searching all cars entering.

I was hauling a large suitcase through Lokmaci yesterday - Customs hardly glanced at me!

Hi Tenakoutou

Ironically I've noticed this, too.. if you arrive by car you seem to draw more attention.. I've walked over the crossing points at Ledra many times - heading north - to use Tymbou / Ercan - to go to Turkey and NEVER got bothered ... even returning to the 'rump' RoC controlled areas... I just was asked if I had cigarettes.. I truthfully replied, "No - I don't smoke" - and that was it...

G'day 'mmmmmm' - I'm glad to see you're still 'percolating' well on CY44 and, as far as I'm concerned, your detractors should find a new use for their garden hose - either nasal, or 'colonial' [deliberately mis-spelled]!

Just to stay 'on topic' - Lidl have some delicious and budget-priced liquer chocs!
