But most of all in two or three days our adopted country will be sprouting new life and going green again. Well at least the plant life!

The garden needs it, after all it's only for a couple of weeks.

You should have been here in December 2004 when the streets in Girne were like rivers! Worst rain I have seen anywhere ever!

Don't ask me to help build an Ark. In the 1960s, in The Amazon basin, as part of jungle training, I had to escape by river, with 4 others, with only millions of trees, their vines, and some blunt machetes to hand. After 4 days of back breaking toil we finished a raft of kind and carried out the launching with blistered and torn hands. The b.....r went like a stone straight to the bottom in 12 feet of water. I had to hide in the jungle for further days as apparently the others decided that I should have known that the wood was Greenheart, one of the hardest in the world, and far denser than water. (but not denser than me). Luckily all the machetes were totally blunt so I could only have been shot or strangled. Eventually someone more intelligent than me managed to call up a helicopter and basket ! I couldn't get out of Hampton Court Maze either and it was also p....ing down with rain then !

Noah being very aged was extremely deaf and God did not tell him "build an ark " for the animals. He told him "build a theme park"
