A close draw today for Sheffield Utd after Darius Henderson was sent (wrongly according to commentators). They equalised in last couple of minutes - Swansea away.

Sheffield Wednesday also drew 0 0

A close draw for Man U at the Lane. None of the so called top four have beat the yids yet this season. Chelski & Gooners scrapped a draw at home, Scousers went back empty handed.( Although one of the above aint top four anymore...shame).

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson:

"It is not a bad result. We dominated the game for the most part and their goalkeeper has made two fantastic saves near the end.

"We just needed that bit of luck or a break close to goal but we didn't get it. But you have to admire the intensity of our game. Tottenham have been on a high since Harry Redknapp came.

"There is a bit of life about the club now. You expect to see them higher up the league and I am sure they will be. Overall, I am satisfied with the performance."

PAUL INCE will be sacked this week after the Blackburn board finally lost patience with their beleaguered boss.

Ince has run out of support at Ewood Park. A source close to the club admitted: “Things have gone too far. Most of the board realised that if Rovers lost heavily against Wigan then Paul had to go.

“The fact is they still need nine wins this season and under Paul nobody knows where the next three points are coming from.”

Looks like Ramos as started where he left off with Tottenham... losing

Barcelona 2-0 Real Madrid

Barcelona extended their lead at the top of La Liga and moved 12 points clear of Real Madrid thanks to late Samuel Eto'o and Lionel Messi goals.

Real, playing their first league game under Juande Ramos, looked as if they were going to frustrate Barca thanks to some fine Iker Casillas saves.

However, with ten minutes remaining Carles Puyol headed towards Eto'o and the striker's tap-in crept over.

In injury time, Thierry Henry sent Messi clear and his chip beat Casillas.

Before he was ousted earlier this week, Ramos' predecessor, Bernd Schuster, had predicted the defending La Liga champions would find it "impossible" to beat Barcelona.

However, victory did not come easily for the Catalans, who are now unbeaten in 14 league games.
