I ve been checking my water counter for the past few days, no water is flowing through to fill the tanks.. I had to have my tanks filled manually.. is there a water shortage?

No problem here in Alsancak (almost on the border with Lapta and in the mountain foothills).

I would suggest you have a problem and you should go see the Belediyesi.

I take it no-one has turned off your tap as a prank or anything like that.

Our in Alsancak is on almost continually.

I checked the main valves that are near the water counter.. they are open.. I looked everywhere in and outside the house but couldnt find any other main valves.. for the past few months the water kept flowing, I was monitoring it from the water bills.. but lately I found out that my water tanks gone empty.. still not getting any water from the pipe system.. my house sits on a hill and I think that might be the problem..

Try checking valve into tank(usually float type),maybe this is blocked as only small inlet.

thanks for the advice but i already checked it.. there is a plastic ball that floats and shuts down the water flow once the tank is full.. but i moved it with my hand up and down but no water.. also a plumber opened the pipe that goes into the water counter.. the water is already not flowing even before the water counter..

Do as AJ suggests, contact the Belediyesi.

Water meters are positive displacement type meters, so if a peice of debris has found it's way to your meter, and is enough to stop the meter turning, it will cause the impeller to block the flow.

I wouldn't take it off yourself as there is a lead seal, but speak to the Beli and I am sure they will help quickly. Always been very helpful whenever I have been in there.

You should not have any problem with pressure as the system is working full bore at the moment.

Please send me an e-mail (address in my profile) and I may be able to give you some help.

Suggest the same. Contact the Belediyesi. If the water was coming through and not now it is unlikely to be pressure. You have a blockage of some type. We experienced low pressure for some time in Baspinar and then the water stopped. Belediyesi came out next day, dug inthe road and found pipe blocked/damaged. They made a new connection back to the house and the pressure difference was massive!
