There's several advertising in Cyprus Today, we used the local aluminium fabricator in our village, two patio doors, 6 windows 800TL, very professional, measured up said they would be back in 3 days to fit them and they were, we were the first and all our neighbors have had theirs done (Cypriot, English and Turkish) by the same company, no problems or complaints nearly 2 years on. Had a quote from Mr Fly but that was in £s and more £s than the TL quote for the same.

Make sure that you do use a registered company. We had a quote from someone last year called Josh (apparently).. whilst visiting before moving here. We gave him 500tl deposit and never seen him again. We then used Seastone.

HI its MR FLY !! and you can RELY on the NEW MR FLY.

yes we are dearer than some screen fitters.we manufacture and fit to British standard-which is what the majority of customers here want.We give a 2yrs written guarantee on parts and labour and a care of your screens info sheet to maximise the life of your investment....No problems with those who wish to go for the cheaper screens. When a person rings to say they have problems with their screens but we did not fit them ,I ask "why don't you phone the company that fitted them?" The usual reply is "they are not answering the phone!!!!"

I did my best last year with the "30% discount Josh" to get him to give his company name and registration number.Sadly people lost good money when he took deposits and ran.

DO ASK FOR A MAKBUZ and then a FATURA (see the work permit thread)If you do not have something with the company reg No then you have NO COMEBACK on faulty goods.

Most of the flyscreen mesh I have come across in TRNC may prevent incursion by mosquitoes, but the Sicilian Sandlies can walk through two by two.

Only by spraying the mesh of the size that seems to be standard [preferably with cockroach killer spray] can one prevent the ingress of sandflies - these are the real health hazard in TRNC as anyone who has suffered from Sicilian Sandfly Fever' can vouch for.

Sorry...not a clue.i never met him but had the gut feeling in his evasive answers that he was up to no good.SO SORRY a few of you lost out to him. There is no such thing as 30% off--off WHAT?!! we do not do these gimmicks cos thats what they are.We do a fair discount for a full fit and no bad feelings if its part fit or no sale .It's YOUR £££ ,you worked for it.REMEMBER if you pay for a Mini you won't get a Rolls Royce, but you wouldn't expect it would you?you budgeted and went for the one to suit your pocket .how long it lasts or how its put together will tell over time.(like anything else here-we learn by our mistakes)

NB:-The above is not a reply to poochie personally.I did a quick tot up on the lady with 800tl screens now 2 yrs old and there was probably no KDV on them....not through the books.Sorry, can't do that-if found out we would be behind bars.our accountant expects sale figures to reflect the aluminium purchases. ANYONE KNOW IF the OLD FLY is back in Cyprus-or his sales lady
