If you can't make it on the day I can arrange to have the book signed during the author's visit (SATURDAY 17TH MARCH 2PM - 4PM) and you can collect it at a later date. We do request a deposit of 10tl in advance.

Personally, I think the signing is a great opportunity for people to meet soner and learn how it really was for him to be here in 1974. I know the book tells it all, but maybe he will share a little to excite you to buy extra copies for your friends!

He is working on getting it translated into Turkish and there is talk of a film, so the books sounds as if it could be one of the most exciting to come out this year telling a tale of Cyprus.

Thanks for your order, I'm afraid it depends when we can get the books picked up from here and taken to the Alsancak shop but will very likely be during the week following the signing. If you've left your telephone number with Alison we'll let you know.

And a note that during the afternoon the winner of the Cyprus Star competition will be announced, possibly around 3.30p.m. So, if you have sent in your tokens, do come and see if you are lucky. But come anyway, ifonly to meet soner, and get a signed copy of his small but fascinating book.

Wishing both Soner and BestSeller book store best of luck for the author signing on 17th March. This book is a must for anyone interested in learning about the Troubles here in Cyprus during the 1970's.
