Hello Pheonix our new neighbour,

Yes things are apparently moving a lot quicker than we thought 2. We have a friend out in NC at the moment who is going to look at the site and find out if the site and our block is developing as quickly as Evergreen are saying. The current photographs make it hard to believe that our apartment will be completed (or next payment will be due) Jan/Feb 2008.

Hello both,

We are A2 middle and have had an email this morning from Evergreen saying all A2 will be completed by the middle of February 2008. Although I agree the photographs do make it hard to believe they will be ready.

Northernlad, I'm glad you have a friend there in NC having a look.

Hi all,

Just seen the November fotos on Evergreen site - looks like things are moving in the right direction - B block appears to be going up quickly - we still find it hard to believe that our block A2 will be ready in Feb for us 2 do our snagging list etc, before they get the next wad of dosh.

Just received a txt from my mate in NC. He has visited the site for us and states that our block A2 is just a concrete skeleton. He feels that it will not be finished in Feb as internal walls, domestics, plastering etc needs done along with windows and doors etc. Alkthough some work has been done on site access roads, pols etc have not been started as yet. He feels it will be several more months after Feb when we are ready to do our snags lists. However you never know, miracles do happen but not to often on building sites in NC apparently. He is back in the UK beginning of December with fotos, hopefully I will be able to post them.

Hi everyone nice to see the neighbours are interested &worried about the same things as us ,we have been told A1 would be ready Feb by builders but someone from NCI thinks more likely april may. With so many people going over and taking photos could we have one of the Marina being started ,man with wheelbarrow would do just to put my mind at rest .

Good to here from another 'A' block owner Mark. Looks like we should all be getting a real update from friends and visits to NC during December on the actual state of our development.

I think we will all deserve a Effes or two next year after this.

Is £1,300 a good price for three aircon units? - has anyone found or heard of anything more reasonable?

Evergreen will continue to surprise in a bad fashion due to poor workmanship and financial problems that are delaying completion of their projects.

Come on Tim, you can't make comments like that ( and also the post on northcyprusforum) and keep people guessing.

Who are you, what evidence do you have re financial problems, and how do you explain quality issues if you are not going through the buying process with Evergreen?

hi hulk

what you mean mr george michael the male donkey lover,

this idiot should be thanking god that the turks come and saved his sheep shagging arse and his family from the greek mainlanders if it was not for the turkish army wiping out the puppet of greece samson and the eoka he and his family would have been pushing up flowers in some unknown mass grave site killed by his own hellanic brothers theres gratitude for you but yes they would blame it on the turks (greek propaganda) rather than admit their own kind tried to wipe them out cos they belived in the church of makarios

i dont hate these people i pity them cos they are uneducated and simple and also they are blind to the truth or they just dont wont to see the truth cos it hurts too much

Hi Mark

Thanks for posting the pictures, and yes its looking good. When I spoke to Tony at Evergreen mid December he was adamant A2 will be ready in February

and if we couldn't pay all £28500 we would be charged interest. Looking at the pictures I will be surprised if it is.

Hope you had a lovely holiday and a good Christmas. Was the weather good?

Many Thanks

Hi keith

yes i think we will go for air con, as you can see pipe work going in wall and then up to service area on roof, i think evergreen will fit it more neatly then having someone else come in after, although a bit more money i think it's worth it.

did'nt no about your accident hope you ok mate.

Hi all

We have decided to have three air conditioning units installed by evergreen. Hope they do an excellent job. We have no completion date as yet for b5 but we are coming out to Cyprus on holiday in May 2008 for two weeks. We hope tp open bank accounts and sort a furniture package out. We are stopping at the Almond holiday village and will be happy to take any pictures of apartments inside or out.

The only reason I was asking was that there are numerous buyers from most of E'green's projects at varying stages of completion/construction, on msn, and they are in a good position to answer questions or queries you may have as you get nearer completion, and not all members read 44.

Hi Mark

I must admid there's not a lot of activity on msn.

Originally I only started it for CB View owners so we could share photos, then after northcyprusforum.com closed I thought it would be a good idea to open it for all E'Green sites to keep in contact.

The only problem with 44 was that there became so many different threads and if you missed a week, they dropped down the list and became difficult to follow.

And no ,it is not possible to post pictures on 44, and even the new northcyprusforum limits pictures to a small size, so if you have a camera with a high megapixel capability this is also not possible.

Andrew

ps. progress is looking good at CB Marina, I can't believe how the units have been constructed so quickly.

Hi All

I must admit msn is very quiet which is a shame. Will have to look into photobucket etc but it might take me a while to get my head round it (age you see lol)

Decided to order 3 air-con units today so I hope they're good ones.

We have decided to hang fire on the Air Cons as we ave to get our large wedge together - Nurten has said we can order later but it might cost more suprise suprise - so whoever has Air Con in there apartment might have a couple of visitors.

We enjoy this Forum as are not to clever using MSN - but have managed to post photos on it. The information on this site is proving very useful to us.

We are saving like mad as we didn't think the apartments would be ready so soon but should have enough by the end of February. End of March would be better but......

It looks like more CBM purchasers are starting to use this forum. I am sure as more people visit the site in NC they will be posting more photos on MSN. They really are useful keeping us informed about the development. I cant wait to be sitting on my roof terrace with and Effes in me hand.

Lyn and rob,

I am saving up for some stablelisers for me old bike. Sarah is checking the insurance policies just in case.

Hi to you all,

1st visit to the site I am buying B4M Garden Apt I have been reading with interest some of the messages it all seems very helpful and comforting that there are others who are buying and in the same boat. Like a lot of you I am surprised by the speed the complex is moving and like some of you I thought that the big payment wasn't to be made May 2009. I have also declined the offer of Air Con as I didn't see the sense in paying for something now that I wont get use of for at least the next 16 months.

I am originally from Cambridge but have been in Ediburgh since 1972 and as you can imagine we are not blessed with much sun shine up here so I am looking forward to spending some relaxing days in the sun. Any replys would be most welcome and any help, information, photo's etc would be great, in the mean time keep well

Bruno

I don't want to 'stick my nose in' but would seriously re consider air con while your property is being built.

I have seen several apartments both on CB View and Blue Bay where the infrastructure wasn't in place on completion of properties, and for some reason, whether buyers have decided at a later date, or other reasons, the brickwork has been chiseled out to install piping, and have seen a newly laid floor damaged by the work.

While construction work is in progress this can be done easily, and could prove expensive if you decide at a later date to have it installed.

I understand what you are saying, but think it is an uneconomical decision.

That's only my view, the decision is yours.

Mark,

Might have to rethink about the Air con and pay for instalation now after reading your last post. I did think that the Air con pipe work etc, being fitted was part of our contract or am I reading it wrong.

I'am not sure Keith, at CBV it is and after thought but not sure if all CBM apartments are getting pipe work whether a/c ordered or not, when we looked at CBV in december they had channeled out wall on out side not sure what they had done on in side, it did look a bit messy ,we perhaps need to ask evergreen if pipes are being run in all apartment or not.

does this make any sense i on my 4th krone.....

Just finished watching Newcastle get well and truly thumped by Man U. 6 - 0, now watching Match of the Day - another hectic saturday in rainy london.

Going to check contract about Air Con and ask my mate who lives in NC to visit the site and see if there is any sign of Air Con pipes in A2.

Will force myself to watch Sunderland thrash Portsmouth lunchtime tomorrow.

At CB View, the infrastructure for air con was listed in the spec. but I'm not sure what that includes. I would have thought the piping should be in place, and if you decide not to have air con would you still have the pipes protruding from the interior walls?

Hi all,

My mate who lives in NC is going to visit the site in the next few days and will send me an update on how things are progressing on the site in general and our block A2.

As the weather appears to be still sunny and at least 7 degrees warmer than here at the mo, I am sure there are still beavering away on the build, I just hope they are not going to quickly and give us a few extra months to get the next payment together.

A brilliant result for Sunderland yesterday

Just had a text from NC our friend has visited the site and says that it does not appear to have moved on much since his last visit just before christmas. He has taken some photographs and he hopes to send them to us this week.

He does reckon that the builders slow down in Jan/Feb due to the weather, could be a good thing might give us more saving time.

Hi Mark,

I am just about to book flights ( using this site online booking) Birmingham - Ercan for early September. The prices are the best I have found.

Would love to go earlier but we always go to Cornwall to see the twin grandkids.

Hi all,

Pleased you liked the foto's - it does seem the site is progressing but not to quickly - hopefully that will give us a few more months of hard saving.

We are hoping to get out to NC sometime this year, but will have to go in school holidays as out youngest is 15 and the cost of air fares mysteriously grow at these times, so still searching for the best offers and trying to decide to fly to Larnaca or Ercan. We are lucky as we have an open invitation to our friends villa in Bacheli.

Ging to be speaking to our friend this week as he is back in the UK if you have any specific requests about the site I will ask him to find out for you.

We cant wait to get back to NC and get some sun on our weary bones.

I was very impressed by how on the ball they are, makes you feel more confident in Senar and Evergreen, bit of a pain to go to London but thought it would be good to check the TRNC Consulate.

Just received an Email from our advocate at Sener - who has informed us that we have to take our new POA to the TRNC consulate to get it signed/stamped or whatever. Then we have to forward the document to him who will take it to the correct department in NC at it will cost us and everybody £250.

Going to spaek to the consulate later today and get the definate - I hope - answer.

Mark,

I spoke to a very helpful lady named Sarap in the Legal department of the TRNC consulate (0207-631-1920). This is what she told me.

Obtain a new POA from your advocate. Bring it with your passport and £12 to the consulate. You sign the POA at the consulate once witnessed it is stamped. You then send it back to your advocate, who does the necessary in NC.

I hope that helps.

Hi Both

This is what I received from Sener on Wednesday. As yet I haven't had another email. Am I right in saying, I pay £250 to Sener, she sends a new POA to me, then I take it to the consulate in London. Sorry for being dim lol.

Lyn

i will send you another email in a day or two with the POA which you will need to sign, and with further instructions which will make the procedure very clear.

Lyn,

I think it goes like this Sener send the new POA, you take it to the consulate pay your £12 with passport or photo ID sign it get it stamped send it back to Sener and then pay your £250 and they do the necesary in NC I think that is how it goes. How we are going to do it anyway.

We were not offerd black marble either - but the kitchen looks good - the site seems to be progressing well. I wonder if B7 is to be used as show block.

Hope you are well - have you sorted this new POA etc yet. we are waiting for Sener to get back to us regarding this matter.

More pictures of Crystall Bay Marina on the Evergreen web site its looking great now. Roll on completion, off to London this weekend to get the power of Attorney signed. Thinking of getting two copy’s signed in case one gets lost in the post. Would hate to have to have to pay £320 day return on the rail again. Does anybody know how many owners of apartments on Crystal Bay Marina are in touch on these websites ?

Just had a look at the latest photos of Crystal bay, looking good, like the chrome railings very much. But has anyone looked at the kitchen units, and wardrobe doors. To us the light wood units look very different from the ones we chose from the original e.mail from Peler. They seem to have in contrast edging to them, not how i imagined. Any comments

Hi to you all ,

There is quite a lot of good information in the Cyprus 44 web-site re the new legislation 133 hits there seems to be a lot of disgruntled people with the new law for estate agents but it is safeguard for the purchaser which is a comfort to know you own your property but like most things it comes at a cost. I would imagine that most of us buying at CBM will have to re register our property as we have purchased pre JANUARY 2008.. There have been a lot of different costs quoted but if like me your solicitor was Naomi Mehmet she is asking for £350.00 to re register your property which seems to be lot higher than most.I'm sure that most of you are aware of this but if not you should visit the site and read for yourself and make your own mind about the next move. Personally I am going to wait a couple of weeks and see what the ouitcome is and if I have to re register I will for peace of mind.

Hope you are all well and like you all looking forward to meeting everyone and having a drink.

Hi All

Pictures of the apartments look great we cant wait to be there now. It was great for us to see how kitchen fits and how the balconies look as the interior design is different to the one we viewed.I think the outside looks great wishing it was this time next year.

Sorry to hear you have to pay £320 rail fare !!!

We are going to pay when we get forms luckily for us we can easily get into London just have to blag time off work !!!!!!!! Our friend is back in cyprus and is going to take more pictures of A block in next week .

Hi all

Have you all had an email from Nurten wanting payment for the air conditioning by 21st February due to the exchange rate increasing by 15%. As long as we pay by then it will be at the price quoted previously.

I am going to the consulate on Thursday hopefully.

Hope you are all well and working hard.

TonyJ,

I suggest that uou contact your solicitor ASAP to get the low down on what you need to do regarding this new law I think most of us at CBM are having to sort out a new POA get it signed and stamped at the TC Consulate in London and send it off to NC along with a fee to our solicitors to register our contracts etc.

Nice to here from another purchaser welocome to this site.

Thanks Keith

I have received the information regarding this new law (re-registration of Contract - and the £350 charge from our solicitor) but nothing about a POA.

RE the new law. Please see the threads on this forum and the Home Buyers Pressure Group advice : http://www.hbpg-trnc.net/documents/stampduty.html

You may wish to hold fire re costly POA's etc until TRNC government clarifies situation.

We went to the consulate yesterday at 10 out 7 minutes later, POA signed, stamped etc total cost £24 not a basd way to earn a bit of cash.

We have a friend going back to NC on Sunday who is taking our paperwork with him to deliver to our solicitor - I am grateful for that I do not know how good the postal service to NC is.

Tony London was b****y freezing yesterday. Of to Portsmouth today to celebrate our sons birthday.

Hi All,

Some interesting posts today, looks like the government is allowing some kind of amnesty and letting us pay .5% stamp duty until the end March. I have not seen anything official, but it is sounding ecouraging.

Hi. Some help here for anyone moving UK to NC. However you are planning on doing the move, whether you're being brave and going down the DIY route or using an English Company is association with a Northern Cyprus firm (we work with Olaytrans), you will need a clear itemised inventory and you need to be able to quantify, in cu.ft or cu.m, the amount of space your goods are going to occupy. If anyone would like an inventory sheet to calculate this, please phone or Email and I'll send you one. This way your move can usually be costed without the need for an initial survey. +44(0)1302 729595. Email: valentineremovals@hotmail.com

Hi Sarah

Will ask at the post office and will ring DHL but many thanks for the thought.

Photos would be great, and I'm not that good on computers. I had to ask a neighbour to enlarge the document for the consulate lol.

Hope you had a good week, I have to wait until the last week in March.

Thanks suntan man just sent our power of attorney by 'signed for' service

We did not know about the service I don’t know what any body else plans are but we intend using our apartment all year round. We have been looking for additional heat sources for the cold evenings and winter months and if it is of interest to anybody we have found some electric radiators on the frank and Joan website which are made in Norway and seem highly suitable for the job of warming an apartment and also they don’t seem any bulkier than a normal gas radiator. Please find below the web site of the radiators makers. http://www.beha-elektro.com/uk/download/brochures/Beha%20Panel%20Heaters.pdf

You're welcome.

The slip you got from the Post Office gives a tracking number so you can check 'on line' delivery status via the Royal Mail web site.........

Don't take any notice of it,

as an item we sent last year still hasn't arrived ! Yet it was delivered in less than a week. So don't worry when all you see is : 'Your item has been despatched to our overseas dept for delivery to Turkey', it means nothing, as Post Office confirmed that once the item has left the UK it is not recorded on to the system.

We have used the service several times, and everything has been delivered!

It all seems to have gone a bit quiet on CBM (gives us a chance to save a bit more) and we all seem to have gone a bit quiet, is anybody going out to NC soon to visit our site?. If so could you let us know when.

Hi all

does anyone have any concerns about the costs of the AIR CON packages?

i.e

Are there better deals to be had elsewhere?

I don't know about you but I'm just a bit concerned about the way they seem to be pushing for the payment now, which keeps increasing by the month...

Hi Tony

we have just sent the money for the three air con package for the original price to beat the rising costs. we could probably find slighter better deals elsewhere but the contract states there will be infrastructure for two air conditioning units, so fitting three after the apartment is finished could be hassle and mess. We think it is probably worth paying the extra to have the apartment ready and up and running. for immediate use

Hi

We sent the money for the 3 air con package to beat the 15% increase and yes we also didn't want the hassle and mess.

Does anyone know how long it takes fot the POA to reach NC as I sent it (international sign for) 2 weeks ago tomorrow and still haven't heard anything from Sener. I don't fancy another trip to London.

Thanks in advance

hi tony

We have not ordered air conditon units, only because we are saving for big bill? i am concerned infrasture for only two units as we throught it would be three .

will have to read contract? we throught it was for each room.

We have looked inquired but couldnt get make of units from evergreen so couldnt compare. we were told on this site about £800 for fitting and yearly service. Dont know if correct information .

Our friend is back in cyprus so hopefully some more news of site soon.

Hopefully we will be able to get out of this wind and rain soon .

hi mark

must have been posting at same time .

We looked on everygreen site and on standard specifications it states infrastructure in all rooms ?

We did ask if infrastructure would be in place when we decided not to buy and they said yes .So rightly or wrongly we would assume that meant three as were offering 3 units.

We would be greatful for any information on this thanks

Hi Guys

Sorry to butt in on your thread, we are buying at Sweetwater Bay and it states in our contract that the infrastructure will be in place in all rooms for air conditioning units, all that it means is that all pipes etc will be in place ready for the units. It seems to be the same in all developments that they put in all pipes and cables for the units then it is up to you what deal you do with your developer or fit the units yourself. Hope this helps

We will be over there again 01 May, and (hopefully) get handover, but recent posts from others who have just visited the site make it seem doubtfull.

Please to hear you are keping updated with msn forum, as there may be topics discussed that could apply to you all at Marina nearer completion. ie. extra charges for landscaping/electric connections and just about everything else! It's a good job we had a contingency fund to pay for all the additional costs they keep adding on. (as well as working all hours to fund the project)

Looking on the brighter side, 7 weeks today we'll be in sunny TRNC away from this dreadful UK weather, may have to pitch a tent up somewhere, but, to be honest, I don't care any more.

I will visit CB Marina site and get some pics for you all.

Hi all

Just correcting a previous post which I said that the contract stated infactstructure for two air con units. I was reading the wrong contract, it is infactstructure for three units. Got a message from Nurten today stating that the apartment should be completed end of March when another payment will be required. Does anybody know if we get the snagging jobs done before this next payment or will they excpect payment and snagging jobs completed before final payment. We have been looking at furniture packages fromhomepack interiors on the internet and was wondering if anybody has had any dealings with this company, The packages seem very competively priced at £1375 for a two bed starter house and £1675 for a two bed house plus. The furniture might not be everybodys cup of tea but our thinking is the first two or three years the apartment is going to be used for holidays for ourselves family and friends and then when we move out full time we will be able to pick new furniture more suitable for full time living

Tony & Susan

Snagging is done prior to your FINAL payment, before you get handover.

At CBView we did our snagging last Nov, and still waiting for the work to be carried out. Received our final bill in Jan with 45 days to pay, but as our apt is not yet complete we are holding on to payment until confirmation that all work has been carried out and our apt is habitable.

Hope that helps

CBView is on the same side of the road as CBMarina, opposite Blue Bay, there is a small development of 9 villas adjacent to us, is that where you stayed?

We did our own snagging, accomponied by Mustafa who works for E'green.

Aparantly some people have moved in at CBV even though the site is not complete and still without water and electric meters!

Tony & Susan

We have opened a bank account with Garanti, it allows internet access. Have made enquiries in UK with HSBC to open account here, but they want £100 to set it up!

Hi All

Can I just say that we had our air conditioning units fitted long after our house was completed. The people we used to fit them didn't make any mess at all. They drill one hole through to the outside for the drain off pipe. This is covered on the inside by the unit. On the outside the fan unit is sited at the best possible position. If your construction company are putting the electrical point in then there will be no mess at all.

Most of the units available in NC are made in China and "badged". Because of this it doesn't really matter which make you choose as they will all be very similar under the badge.

My advice is if you can find it cheaper then get it cheaper.

Hi Karen

could you give an approximate cost and whether there are any good air con companies in TRNC.... I am just a bit weary of buying from the builders....they just seem a bit expensive!

Hi TJ

From memory we paid about £200 for a 1200 unit and I think about £150 for the 900 units. We bought ours from an Ariston Dealer in Nicosia. The make is Chigo. It was only the fact we were in the shop buying a tumble dryer at the time. They came out and measured the rooms, including the height of the ceilings, from that they could determine which size unit was needed for each room. I see above your builders are wanting to charge for bi-annual maintenance. I think this is a bit of a rip-off and would certainly not take this up due to the fact that believe it or not the units are not on for that much time (for various reasons, one being the actual cost of running the things). In the winter we use ours to heat the bedroom and put it on for about half an hour before we go to bed. This warms the bedroom up enough. During the summer you will need it during the end of July/August a bit more than the other months but you do become acclimatised to the weather. Its the humidity thats a killer.

We only have 3 units, one in each of the bedroom. We didn't bother elsewhere as the livingroom, kitchen and diningroom all face the sea and we are quite high up so get a nice breeze (blooming cold in the winter when the wind blows though).

Hi Tony & Susan,

I was looking at your message re the furninshings package from homepackinteriors are you able to send me the link I did try but had no luck, it would be interesting to see what is being offered if you can do that it would be good. I am buying at CBM block 4MG and was informed that the main payment would need to be made in middle of January, however no payment has been asked for as yet as I believe the contractors have now completed apartments in a different order. Like you I wont be moving out on a permanent basis for another 3 years although will be going out for regular holidays so will need to get furnishings and other things sorted out. I keep looking at this site as there is a lot of good useful information which has been very helpful.

Hope you are well and look forward to seeing you in the future.

hi everyone

Thankyou orangekazzie found the imformation on air condition units really useful you do tend to worry about how easy or not it will be to sort out ourselves.

suntanman

Yes they are the villas It was your apartments that made us bite the bullet and buy one on cbm .

Our friend is now living there full time so has been able to keep us imformed on progress of cbm so thats helped us ,also been through buying process and survived!!! so reassuring. When was completion date , do you have penalty clause? Our friend said road from villas has been levelled and hard core been put down this should make it easier to get to your site . We had rain when we were there and it was an experience to get to villas lol !!

We will also need to get air conditioning units , its does sound like we can find better deals. We are feeling more confident about doing this now .If a few of us on same site need them it may be worth while seeing if companies give group discount ? worth a try !!!!!

bruno

We havent heard anything yet and we were told end of feb/ march.

Ive looked at threads on furniture gives names of furniture shops .

We are only using ours for holidays at the present would be great to be able to say could live out there. we are jealous a few of you hoping to be out in three years !!! still i can spend all the summer holidays , cant wait for that .

Mark are you still celebrating getting 2 stars !!!!!

Wheres lyn - hope you are well

tony and susan

It must be great to be thinking about furniture i did think the package deallooked good and would be easier to buy all together. We are wondering how much we can get in our suit cases and have started to buy odd bits.Apparently small electrical equipment is expensive . We did have a friend who put a flat screen tv in case but we arent that brave lol.

speak to you all soon

Your friend isn't Mike by any chance? or John, that has the water tanker?

We do have a penalty clause, but as yet are within the two year contract for completion, although from what I have learned the clause isn't worth the paper it's written on! We have yet to se the 'new' access road, it was also raining on our last visit, and there was quite a deep lake at the entrance and I grounded the car on a couple of occasions.

Hi,

If I hear anything re payment I will let you know,I did get an email from evergreensaying that that the site is progressing well and that there are no problems, the contractors decided to re shedule what was to be built first so mine wasn't one of the first ones. I didnt go for the air con and have decided to look around when I come over to try and get a better deal, reading some of the comments on here it looks like that will be posible.

Hope you are well

Hi Bruno,

We have decided to look around for Air Con also. The link to frankandjoan above appear to suggest you can get the same size three air con units for around £800 ish fitted, serviced and guaranteed for three years, you may be able to get even better deals if you barter in person, thats what we intend to do.

Hi Keith & Sarah

Thanks for your reply I thought the evergreen prices seemed a bit on the high side but the prices you quoted are certainly better than theirs and if we can save a few pennies here and there it will help towards furnishing the apartment which is another hurdle we need to jump at some stage. I am not going out to Cyprus until our October break which will be to try and sort a few things out and a bank account being one of them as I believe that the bank interest is quite a lot higher than we get in the UK, also to source air con and furnishings.

It's a little difficult being so far away but I have found the info on this site and all the pictures are a great help, I'm just looking forward to getting out there.

Hope yopu are both well.

Hi all

Am working quite a bit of overtime at the moment and bloody AOL keeps crashing lol, although back on at the minute.

Have just had a mail from Nurten that A2 A10 and B5 will be ready by the end of the month so just to let me know in advance that the money will be due.

Have you had yours yet?

Hope you are all well

Sarah & Keith

Once you have paid the 'biggie' there should be while to wait until you are asked to complete snagging, that will take place nearer completion of the site.

We 'snagged' in Nov, and received final bill in Jan with 45 days to pay upon completion of property and communnal services in place.

Told by Nurten today that our apt should be complete within next 7 days, so in effect, they haven't stuck to the 45 days to completion, so we haven't paid final bill yet, and have asked for photo evidence to confirm completion. Once we are fully satisfied that all is ok we will transfer money, which is currently held by our solicitor/advocate.

Hope that helps

Hi all

Northernlad

I mailed sener and the reply I got was " your permission to buy is an application and process which is monitered by us, therefore it is not something which you need to worry about. It normally takes between 18 to 24 months for the application to be processed and approved. "

This tells me a lot. Not.

I have also mailed evergreen for internal photos but have had no reply as yet.

Have olguns got a website. No doubt evergreen will be sending details of packages when we have paid the big payment.

Happy easter all

I all

Still not received conformation from our advocate if she has received our power of attorney so we have emailed her explaining that Evergreen have notified us that the next payment will be due at the end of the month and we think it is important that our deeds are registered before this payment. Has

anybody been notified that there power of attorney has been received .

Bruno have you noticed furniture packages with Homepack interiors have gone up from 1375 for two bed starter and 1675 for a two starter plus to 1750 and 1950 respectively. Hopefully we are going out end of May and perhaps a cash discount might be obtainable. I have put the latest pictures received from Evergreen on the crystal bay view North Cyprus website. Ours is b5 left and it appears looking through the window that there is a partition part way in. Has anybody else noticed it.

Hi Tony and Susan

Our POA took just over 2 weeks to get there, and must admit I was beginning to get worried, and didn't fancy another expensive trip to London.

Can't get out until early September, so will be interested in hearing how good your bartering skills are lol. Also what is expensive etc.

I would ask for photos on another posting someone from B block was sent internal photos and nurten said we would get them when payment asked for.

I have been looking on msm and appears lots of extras from evergreen bit worrying!!!! Seems electric and grounds expensive?

We are excited but concerned over costs.

Did you get a reply over sales contract registered? We are still waiting ? We are not paying until paper work done. We are also going to get snagging done first.

Will let you know when we hear from everygreen .

Hi Sarah and Keith

I will ask for photos but only hope its our apartment they will photograph lol.

Haven't had a reply from Sener yet but will mail again over the weekend.

I keep reading the posts on msm and think god knows what we will have to pay. They don't tell you any of that when selling do they. Looks like we will be working longer than anticipated but yes we are getting really excited and can't wait until we go out in September.

Will let you know when we here to.

Hi All,

Don't want to worry you too much regarding extra costs Evergreen keep adding. (which they never tell you about untill you get the bill)!!! but we have worked it out to be almost £3000.

They have wanted extra for landscaping/poolside furniture/water storage depot and now the latest, extra contributions for electric connection to the site.

They even sent me a revised bill more than two months after receiving final bill for the latter.

Keep putting in the overtime!

Hi Lyn

Just about finished, we are waiting for white goods and furniture to be delivered, and have been told they'll be in place next week.

01 May looks promising for key handover (hope so, as we haven't got anywhere else to stay)!

No sign of electric meters yet, so we may be staying without power, but will take a supply of candles. My only worry is how to keep the Efes cold.

Sarah & Keith,

It was several months from paying the biggie untill we were asked to do snagging, our 45 days was from the time of receiving our 'final bill' after having done snagging to apartment and the whole site being fully complete and ready for handover. All previous bills were to have been paid within 14 days of receipt.

We have always asked Nurten for photos of our apartment to confirm payment is justified, and she did supply us with these at each stage.

We have sent all our money payments to our solicitor and given instructions not to transfer payment until we are satisfied that the works have been completed to the required stage payment.

We are not too worried about having no electric as being from the North are hardy people and used to the wood burners (to keep the whippets warm) and a flat cap to cover black pudding.

Think we'll invest in a decent BBQ.

Keep hold of the wind up torch, you may need it yourselves at CB Marina if things go the same way for you! ( hope not)

But if you are passing CBV and smell the BBQ burning, a wind up radio for a bit of music would be appreciated, so you can join the party.

I think at some time in the not too distant future, there will be an almighty party for all Crystal Bay/Evergreen purchasers, I'm sure all forum members would turn up and have a good 'knees up'. Only hope that there isn't a short supply of Efes on the island (unlike electric meters)!

It would be nice to meet up with everyone at some stage.

we are waiting to hear if sales contract registered? emailed solicitor yesterday!

We cannot wait for to party in the sun.

Are you intending on living in the sun ?We will just using for holidays ?

We think its a great idea to get owners on committe, as i understood if we get a certain percentage of owners voting we get to say what goes on.That has to be better for us , just got to find everyone lol.

Hi all

Great pictures Lyn of your apartment .Its looking really well .Like the little breakfast bar. Do you know if its just middle apartments that get the breakfast bar or side ones as well. Because the side lay out is a bit different with the back door being on the side

Hi Tony

Just took a closer look at the other photos and I see what you mean, but no I don't know, but maybe someone else does.

I see we have both gone for the lighter units, they look really good. We have to wait until September before we can get out again, when are you going.

Hi All

Same for us payment sent just waiting for confirmation of receipt by Sener and will be paid to evergreen when all works completed at this stage as per our contract.

Is anyone else having problems in receiving Emails from Mustafa SENER?

Hi all

Keith - We use Ayhan at Sener and got a n email last night confirming they have my money. I think she got fed up with me mailing twice a day lol. But it is a lot of money.

Tony - Thanks for the photos, the site is coming along great. Can't wait. Evergreen said all would be finished by December but I think along the lines of "now we have your money" you can wait til may 09 lol. We'll see what they say when we go in September.

Hope you are all well

Mark and joy

Hope you enjoyed your holiday .

Tony

I agree very quiet on site , i suppose we will have a lot more questions as we get nearer to site finishing.

We are concerned about air con as we decided to wait until out to find better deal.We also keep an eye on franks site .

It would be great to have web cam on site to watch progress lol

Lyn

How you doing , very happy in my house , palace made playoffs , had season ticket up until last year , only decided money needed for apartment and beans lol

now have to buy playoff tickets for myself and son (poor student) So back to sitting and sleeping on lilo in apartment lol

We could all go eco friendly and live without electricy that will save as a small fortune lol

Hope everyone enjoys there bank holiday

Hi all

just got an email from Miss Nurten Peler, reqesting the big payment for B9 penthouse by the end of the next week. Only trouble is, the last email we got from stated that it we would be mid-June before this payment was due!

AAArggh!!

Anyway, I'm a bit confused at what happens following this payment?

Does the snagging take place, can we have the keys and take possession or do we have to wait until the whole complex is ready?

Any suggestions?

Hi Tony j

Asked miss Peler about snagging jobs was told they are completed before final payment later this year. Not sure about key but would assume on final payment .Will be out in North Cyprus in two weeks will be taking pictures as promised .Any particular area you wish me to concentrate on

Hi Tony H

if you get access to B9 penthouses , could you take some photos of the rooms, that would be great.

I am planning to get out there myself but not for a few months and I will need to check plastering, floor tiling, windows, kitchen, bathrooms, wall tiling and finish of painting works etc as stated in the contract.

By the way, who did you book your flights with?

Hi all, not sure how your development is progressing but i hope all is well. I am on another development by the same developer, just a word of small warning ensure they are actually at the stage they say they are before releasing any payments. i (and others on the same development) have been asked for payments before work is actually at the correct stage. However i hope all is going great for you all and there are no problems, certainly worth keeping in touch with others on the sme development, it's helped me and my co-buyers.

hi tony j

We have booked flights with XL airlines from Manchester, will try to take as many pictures as we can although martyb49 thinks that they might not be at the completion stage, not to worry I can take a mean picture of a hole in the ground.

Hi all

We were sent photos of internal .We are lucky as a friend has been to look at site so we know that block is up lol.He was able to make sure work was completed and we did our own snagging list at this stage.

We were told we snag with evergreen when final payment due ,

As we understand it keys are handed over on the whole site being completed.

our payment was earlier than we expected also !!

hope you all enjoy your weekend

Hi Tony,

I like you am a bit confused I was told that the big payment would be due at the middle / end of January and I havent heard anything since apart from being told the builders have re-scheduled what is to be build 1st, so I am assuming that Block 4 hasnt yet been started. I was also told that I wouldn't get the keys until the whole complex had beed completed so Im a bit in the dark, however I have been told that all is in order and everything is progressing well, being so far away you have to take their word for it.

If anyone is going over I would appreciate it if you could find out how far block 4 is progressing and any pictures would be great.

Take Care

I all

Just seen the pictures on the Evergreen website, has anybody looked at the garden apartment ,living room furniture. Don’t you think there is too much furniture in, i.e. . wicker suite looks horrible and is too big, ideal size would be two , two seater settees instead. The coffee table looks to large and the sideboard could be exchanged for a TV and DVD stand combined. The six chairs with dining table would look much better with a small table and four chairs. Some added bright colours say terracotta and cream would give the apartment a bright Mediterranean look. Other than that it looks great

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the relpy re flights I am going over middle of October and hope that if I book early I can get them a little cheaper I will just have to wait and see.

I was informed that B4M should be ready in June or there abouts so I have had approx 6 months grace as originally I was told that the main payment would be January so I have been a little lucky. I'm sure that as we will be neighbours we will meet up at some stage and I am looking forward to coming out to see how it all looks.

Thanks again

Hi Everyone

Sarah & Keith, had a fantastic two weeks, everything went smoothly with handover, and the finished product is excellent, something you will be able to look forward to.

The only problem was that we couldn't register electric into our names as our contracts are still with land registry (having paid our solicitor months ago in the mad rush to comply with the new laws) And electric meters were not on site.

I am sure all of you at CBM will be pleased with your properties when completed.

The maintenance contract is still a bit of a delicate subject, as the fees have increased from the original quotes by Evergreen, and the are also asking for a £400 running float. And until the site is finished off, and not left like a building site, we and a few others are withholding payments.

We are more than happy with our Evergreen property, and can't wait to go back in Aug.

Regards
