If you want romantic , you cant beat Kybele in the Bellapais Abbey, up in Bellapais. One of the most romantic places on the island , great view, very intimate.

Jock , are you saying the snow blizzard will block the view

If its clear and not dark, you may actually get to see the snow (in Turkey).

I know you said East, but Efendi in Kyrenia is quite intimate with little nooks and crannies and subtle lighting.

Turbo is right the Kybele would be a great place.

They have a small room that seats upto 6 - 8 people with heating.

Not much of a view from the room but you can get the effect when you

park up in the car park and stroll up through the Abbey grounds.

The food and service is excellent.

We dined there on xmas day and can definately recommend.

Good luck

Sassy

Lilli, today is warm 74F (23.3 C) we did have a few windy cold days and nights down to 1.5 C, only because the mountains above us are covered with snow.

So as long as its not windy, its nice and T shirts usually on New Years Day.

I bet your friends were sorry they got married Xmas day, it was one of the worst days we've had. Very heavy rains on and off all day long. The sun came out for 5 minutes.

I hope they didnt get caught in that. Where in LA did they get married?

Have you tried EROLS at Ozankoy, great meal, fantastic views. Its very popular and you may need to book your table. To get to it you can either head for bellapias but drive straight on instead of going up the hill and follow the signs on the telegraph poles for Erols or go past the fez at Catalkoy and head for the hills to Ozankoy village and then follow the signs to Erols. Watch out for the narrow streets and sharp bends.
