Hi cemil - short answer - yes!



Doesn't matter when you left, even if you haven't lived here (as far as I know, ukturk will inform) you will still need to do a stint. My hubby left in 1962 and we came here live in the summer, he has to do a month or pay a wedge!

Must admit National Service is something that I would not have liked to have done as a youngster. Then again it teaches respect and that people's property is that of their own (FACT). This I belive is one of the reasons the NC people are so well respected and the crime rate so low.
