There is St Andrews in Girne, come out of main car park and turn right down little road, just down the hill. There is a catholic church near the Rocks hotel in Girne but do not know any more.

The Roman Catholic Church in Girne, St Margaret's of Hungary, attracts over a congregation of over 100 for Sunday Mass.

Juliet, are you surprised that this is allowed in the 'Turkish Army controlled North'?

DB, I assume it wasn't meant to be sarcastic. I suspect Juliet may have thought that due to the culture of TRNC, there may be no practising Christian church, as is the case in so many other non-Christian countries.

Juliet, I can give you or your friend some info if you want to email me: tinyredkitt@aol.com

Given your constant posting and opinionating on all matters relating to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus I had rather assumed that you were an expert on the subject.

Now that you are indeed shown to be quite ignorant on matters relating to everyday life here perhaps you would be kind enough to desist.

You confessed to being ignorant of the Christian churches in TRNC, so ignorant you certainly are on that count.

We are all ignorant of something and it matters not a jot whether we are in our own country or not.

mess 17,

All you have to do is google christian churches in north cyprus and read the propaganda there. If you don't understand that long word dear, it means a screwed up version of the truth.

I am surprised that there is still churches in the north and they are open as well. I was told by the greeks that they were run down and that the turks had not looked after them. Cant say I have seen too many mosques on the south now we are on the subject.

Maybe the plastic policeman can clarify this.

I was told by a UK resident Greek Cypriot that it would be in my best interest not to say I visited TRNC as I may end up getting shot!

why does your friend want a church to attend in the north ,surely there are plenty to attend in the south .

or have you just posted for the sake of a wind up ,or the reaction you have got.

sweet prayers and may your god go with you.

remember you do not need a church to pray ,you can pray anywhere and everywhere.

Juliet, on reading every single one of your posts,on most threads i often wonder do you ever think...that we cannot do anything about yesterday...tiss all gone..and tiss all lost...and cannot be CHANGED...tiss gone....

we do not know what might happen tomorow....never will be able to seeeeee

tomorow,untill it comes......

exceptance is all of yesterday that we can do about yesterday,

try going into any church.of any race or religen,...sit for a moment with your own thoughts...and just belive.thats life..we cant change whats happend..or who has what, and who has not..
