Stop what ever you are doing and about to do and look at the mountains or the sea. Isn't this country still a fantastic place, beautiful part of the world.

Those mountains look different every time you look at them, they seem to change colour on a daily basis. I think we should take more time to realise just how lucky we all are to have such natural beauty around us.

We should be thankful for what we have and not cry over things we don't.

Enjoy Cyprus, Take a minute and look.

Thank you for taking the time to remind us. You are so right.

I do take the time to look many, many times every day, and as you I feel lucky to be a part of this beautyful place.

I thoroughly agree, what a lovely way to wake up to at the start of the day and admire these fantastic views, better than looking over the Fens of Lincs like I used to.

Brought a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Yes, a smile because it truly is a beautiful place and a tear of longing because I miss it so much when I'm not there.

Jerremy - Get a life! Nothing stands still for that long. MimoMar I chuckled at your reply!

The North has so much beautiful scenery with the mountains stretching from one side to the other. Can't wait to be back in April.

Seems to me that the last line of your post is what you should be doing, instead of worrying!

Its such a same, no matter what the subject bad or good, people find a way of having a dig at one another. Jerremy, i don't doubt that the view was fantastic before 1974. But you can't really say that the view is a terrible one now. SURELY!!!!!

People suffer all over the world. Why make every thing good, bad.

Enjoy what you have.............

My Friend,

My family comes from Siligu near to the trodos. My family house looks like broken stones, the land has been used for growing fruit and olives, other land has a hospital carpark on it. Our grand father was murdered infront of my grandmother by the Eoka, our contents of our house was lost for ever. The exchange land we received was 1 / 10 th of what we received and the quality for growing was less then half. But i didn't start this forum saying. "Stop for 1 minute and look at what we have lost" did I?

Please try not to turn everything into a bad forum. If you live in cyprus, tell me that the view is bad. My family worked and still work very hard for what we have and have lost. Beleive me we have told our selves, "Get over it" we have!!!

Life is to short not too!!!

So please..............

Take a minute, look at the Mountains or the sea and enjoy it, because its truley magical, beautiful, fantastic.................

you were very young when the island was invaded so your thoughts are not like those that can remember the events of 74 & before... at least your land is still there and is being looked after by someone, the argument by jerremy & many others is that there land is now home to an expat & is unusable, why don`t you come back to your land ? it`s also a lovely unspoilt part of Cyprus.

I think anyone looking to spread discord on this forum should read your post and replies, you put them to shame with your acceptance and humility.

Well said and God bless you

Spider... it is said... an ounce of wisdom is worth a ton of knowledge.

Well done bonibon, many of us easily forget how lucky we are to live in such a beautiful place. I can see both mountains and sea. I also see bellapais abbey, the new harbour and i would be able to see St Hilarion if it was lit up but thankfully they have stopped that.

You can argue all you like, but you all have to agree the views are something special,

which i am sure is why the thread was started.

I think most GCs are more keen on cash compensation, rather than getting their (they say!) land back. How does that saying go: The Love Of Money Is The Root Of All Evil (??)!!
