There are no "greeks cypriots". There is a Greek speaking population on the island of Cyprus. The descendants of an unknown number of them belonged to the Byzantine empire (illegal "Cyprus" empire for about eight years). They were called Byzantines and ruled the island until May/June 1191.

I wonder how long it takes for a claimant of a country or properties therein to be accepted in International, or, in our case, EU Law, as the recipient of any form of compensation.



I would imagine the longer the time, the weaker the historic claim.



I wonder how much I have paid to the TRNC (&TR) Governments during the purchase and annual running of my 'Exchange' property, which they have assured me is a legal title and taxed me accordingly.



If there was any form of 'compensation' (looking less likely day by day), I would obviously be looking to the 'Government' who legally qualified my purchase to pay any such Compensation.



If it did come to Compensation, a 'Class Action' by a few thousand EU Subjects could be a very interesting Case!
