I understand there are a number pedestrian crossings and I am trying to find the one where the shops are very near on the south side rather then a half hours walk. Which is the one I need and how do I get to it? We went to Lefkosa at Xmas and ended up at the crossing(not sure which one it was) It was just up the road from Billie Jeans coffee shop. We were travelling round for ages trying to find it. Still not sure if thats the one we should use.

Help much appreciated

The Lokmaci crossing at the bottom of Ledra Street is ideal. It was opened a year ago and is near the Buyuk Han cultural centre. Also near by is Sabor restaurant. If you an find your way on this side to either of these places, the crossing is just 2 minutes away. Once crossed over the Debenhams Tower is only 5 minutes up the street.

My wife has a Russian passport and a Kyrgyz passport, the Kyrgyz passport is the one she enters the TRNC on and this has a 5 year UK visitors visa in it (not a residecy visa) does anyone know if she would be able to cross the line on a shopping trip or if we would have to arrange a visa for her to enter the South of the island?
