Wanted - Telescope Advice/Info

Does anyone have any information about where I could obtain a telescope, please? Nothing too fancy, as this is for my daughter. I am having no joy in finding one in TRNC at the moment, so any advice would be most welcome.

Best selection I have seen out here is on the bottom floor of the Orphanides complex in the South, I know, its in the South but they are good and not a fortune either.



If she only wants one to "Play" with then go for a cheap 2" refractor but if she is serious then there are "Big Un's" there as well - ones for me to drool over if I had £250.00 spare that is.

I have a reflector but just cannot get it to work! Need someone as young as your daughter to show me how, (like computers) stupid me! Have loads of different lens's but to no avail. Help please?

There is also a large shop on the upper floor of the Cyprus Mall (next door to Ikea) which has a very good selection of telescopes. Sorry I can't remember the name of it but as you go through the door, the telesopes/binoculars are right in front of you.

What make? where did you buy it i.e. has it traveled from another country? It may be just a simple case of adjusting the mirror. But without knowing anymore detail it would be hard to give advice.
