Hi Kantara Not sure where you are but I have used two laundries Both called "wash and go" On the main road in Catkolkoy and one just past the Pia bella hotel on the road into Girne. You can drop off or they will pick up, wash and iron. Not sure on the price - but at the time it didnt seem too bad. We dont have a washing machine in our villa (on holiday home) mainly due to the water situation at times......trying to conserve water..... Happy washing.......!!

Pipie I have used Eton Laundry and they charged me 26ytl for about 12 towels and a couple of sets of bedding. They used to be in Karaoglanoglu and everything was fine but the last time I used them they had moved the actual laundry to Lefkosa and I wasn't very pleased with the results. I have also used Wash and Go in Girne (the one near Pia Bella) and my towels came back all plucked and covered in bits of fluff so when you dry yourself it gets stuck all over you. Wouldn't use them again. I've also tried the one in the middle of Karaoglanoglu but I went back to collect my stuff when they said and they hadn't even washed them and they found my bag of towels practically on the pavement!! Needless to say I haven't been back there either.

Hi Tiggy Not sure where you're coming from with cheap towels not being worth the bother. I wish they were cheap because the towels that were practically ruined by Wash and Go were Christy towels from House of Fraser that cost a bloomin' fortune!! Jo

Thank you for your replies. I went several times to the one in Karaoglanoglu and unfortunately lots of pieces went lost. Kantara

The other benefit with using a laundry for bed linen is that it all comes back neatly pressed which is a big bonus!

Try the one on main Girne - Accapulco road nearly opposite what used to be the old Octopus Aqua park ----few doors up from Dolce Vite restaurant (used to be Notting Hill !!!) and before you get to The Grove. They seem quite busy which is generally a good sign. There is also one in Karakum (again on main road).
