welcome to the forum as far as i know foereigners are only allowed to buy 1 donum in their name unless you have a partner who has a diffrent surname to you then you can buy 2 donums and this will be owned by the both of you

1337.8 m2 to be exact.

1 donum = 4 Evlek

1 Evlek = 3600 Sq. feet

1 Standard building plot is 70 X 80 ft, i.e. 520 sq. metres

Ismet,

When you refer to a standard building plot, is that a TRNC standard plot?

I didn't know there was a standard plot size.

Yes TRNC standard but I suspect it goes back to pre 1974, so it may be a Cyprus standard.

hi there

yes the standard does go back to pre 74 and it is not just a cyprus standard it is also based on the standards of turkey which is exactly the same

and for people who are asking how much a donum compares to english measurements around 3 donums equals to 1 acre of land

Kantara I think that is the $64million question at the moment. Foreigners can certainly buy it, in the sense that an estate agent will sell it to you, the question is whether the government will give a foreigner Permission to Purchase. It's a question that the HBPG is trying to get an answer to.
