Hey Mike, you don't need a camera to see folks at home, they need one

I have one but have not used it for ages, just typing text is enough for me. Unfortuantely our speeds are not up to scratch yet to support a meaningful video chat.

Hi mikelapta,

Is it an internet provider or web-cam you're looking for?

It's not so much the provider,

but the speed of your connection, 512Kbps minimum,

that will improve the quality of your web-cam viewing.

If it's a camera you're looking for,

The computer shop "Chip" I think it's called down from HSBC Bank,

towards town centre, bear right towards the school, a few hundred yards on the left.

They have a "Piranha" web cam with built in mike & light, USB connection.

I have been using one for app 18 months, no problems,

on Skype & MSN.

You can also make and edit your own videos with it

Price 28 US$ - £17 app, in stock now.

Good luck,

Navek

Thanks all.I am a real computer novice. Here's what I've got.

an Acer 7520 laptop

a Microsoft Cam,small thing 3"long which attaches to top of laptop.

I have yahoo and gmail,windows live,and messenger.

Some time ago I could just stick the cam in,and see my emailer,if they were connected.

I can see myself!!!!

Sorry not technical language.

Is that enough info?

Mike

We have Logitech. Easy to set up and use. I bought it off Amazon. Apple Mac had built in camera but this pc didn't, so had to do a bit of research and Logitech had some brilliant customer reviews.
