Hi
I intend to drive from uk to Cyprus via Turkey. Entering at Kyrenia. I will be spending around 6 months in Cyprus on a long holiday with my wife, however most of our time will be spent in the south where we will be living on a small boat that we own. The car is uk registered and I intend bringing some new parts for our boat, which are all vat paid. Can anybody help me out with any problems I might incur on entering Northern Cyprus and when crossing to the south

Do it the other way round, enter in the south and avoid the potential problems. Then cross to the north as you require.
I would put money on the spares being taken and duty required (and lots of it) if you land in the north.
