Is this on Ada FM? I caught a few minutes of Steve Dickinson being interviewed yesterday evening.

The acoustics of the studio were poor. The mic sound levels were too low and the conversation was drowned out by a background "music" track/jingle.

I don't think many would want to listen to that programme regularly until you get it right.

You are talking about one programme on ADA, the sound levels of the music (whether background or not) are totaly up to the individual presenter of each show. ADA is a very new station, thus I am sure there may be a few hiccups with some of the presenters to begin with, but am sure they are trying their best!!

Hi Miss Ruby,

You are quite right about the sound levels being up to the individual presenter except when he has absolutely no experience of running a studio as your Major Brian has not. That is not his fault so I would expect you to hold his hand until he can do it himself.

As to the background jingle than ran constantly through the interview, I don't know if Brian could hear it but I know Steve Dickinson couldn't because I asked him after the show.

I wish Ada FM all the best with its ventures but suggest that they be open to feedback in order to give viewers/listeners a station they would want to tune into.
